Wow. Does that mean that Eddie Redmayne is the frontrunner then?
Of all the awards movies out, I think I'd rather see The Theory of Everything the least. I rather watch Cake than that!
I'm happy for Jennifer. I think she's underrated as an actress, though not as good as the other nominated actresses. It's Julianne's year, dammit.

I saw Horrible Bosses 2 and she is SO filthy and raunchy in it. I think she is really funny in that role. I do want to see Cake, but it is mainly because I like to see all the nominated movies.
Congrats to her though. If Jonah Hill can be a twice Oscar nominated actor, I'm not mad at Jennifer getting some award love.

I'm probably not going to see Cake or Horrible Bosses but I like her and given the dearth of strong Lead Actress contenders, I think having her get one would be ok. Her not getting one would also be ok. I would like to see what she wears on the red carpet though, because I'm shallow like that. Plus, I've been watching Friends reruns on Nick at Nite the last few weeks, and, well, I thought that was such a great role for her.

I'm just glad that I can enjoy seeing Justin Theroux out and about for the next few months.

I can just see the tabs: Justin and Jen Separating; Jealous Over Her Success! or Evil Angelina Plots Revenge; Blames Jen For Awards Snub or Will Lonely Jen Finally Get A Boy...Named Oscar?

Female celebrities are always miserable on tabloid covers and it's always because they can't find or have lost their MAN.

Jennifer gets the SAG+GG+BFCA comboOh, I don't think Moore has any reason to be worried. Cake has gotten very poor reviews overall. However, I think Aniston could have pulled off a Blindside had Cake got decent reviews because it seems like these award bodies were just waiting for to finally have the right role. I guess The Good Girl had too much competition that year for Best Actress, and it may have hurt her that Friends was still on. I just hope that when she finally does get the combination of right role/movie that Cake will help her instead of people being turned off by certain parts of the campaign like sending out cupcakes to certain voting groups.

It's interesting to notice that some commenters on sites like Celebitchy are fixated on the studio sending cupcakes along with screeners (I think just to BFCA?), as if some baked goods were enough to buy votes or as if sending swag was unusual at all. I googled "cupcakes and BFCA" and found a blog post in which one critic mentions recieving the Cake cupcakes, while also mentioning that he gets a lot of stuff during awards season, including two other packages the same day. Into the Woods had sent over a box of goodies, and it seems to be part of SOP. If it is that common in the industry, I don't know if it would turn off anyone that really matters.

Into the Woods had sent over a box of goodies, and it seems to be part of SOP. If it is that common in the industry, I don't know if it would turn off anyone that really matters. I think it's because Aniston had to start her own company to actually be able to distribute the film. I don't blame anyone for campaigning so hard for an Oscar because most, if not all, of them do it, but I guess with her having to put out her own film, and then sending out the cupcakes with the screeners, just makes her look really desperate compared to some of the other nominees. If Cake was picked up by The Weinstein Company or Lion's Gate, for instance, it would come off less desperate because the company would be behind sending out the screeners and gifts, whereas Cinelou the company distributing Cake is Aniston. It's not just her that got ridiculed for it because when Hilary Swank still had a chance, she was mercilessly teased about how thirsty she was since she was appearing everywhere even some kind of dog show that was televised on Fox, but I guess Aniston's being ridiculed for it more now because it's actually working for her. Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones also had some criticism at least at the awards prognostication boards I visit because of how aggresively they were campaigning, but now I don't see it as much I guess because now everyone else is out there too. Also, I didn't mean to come off as being harsh towards her methods because like I said before, they all do it to some extent, but I just worry that if she ever does get the right role/movie combination to win or be a real threat to win, I hope that people aren't resistant to the idea because of the lengths that she had to go through with Cake.

Aniston didn't start her own company to distribute the film. Cinelou Releasing was launched by Cake's producer's Mark Cranton and Courtney Solomon to distribute their films themselves, with Warner Bros. handling the international distribution of Cake and a further five Cinelou releases. link
