She seems like she has really blossomed since dumping Tom. Like a flower that was wilting without proper care and suddenly springs to life when treated properly. It's startling. (My sister did the same thing, turned from zombie-bot to sparkling chatterbox after leaving her oppressive husband)

I don't know about blossoming; she's still bland as watered-down oatmeal and usually a fashion don't, but this look is the best she's looked in a very, very long time.

Off topic: is Piper more Piperish in the book? Chonies, I found book-Piper (or, I guess, real-Piper) to be absolutely unbearably Piperish. She's like the heroine of Eat, Pray, Love, where the setting of her narrative is absolutely incidental and everyone around her exists (including her fellow inmates) to reinforce what a pretty, blond, caring, special snowflake she is. She's so smug and self-centered (not to mention completely unaccountable and unchanged by her time in prison, which was apparently something that was done TO her, rather than BY her) that I could barely finish the book; I was hate-reading by the end. To keep this on topic, Katie Holmes would have been all wrong for the part. [/weak attempt]

Ugh, I couldn't get through the first 50 pages of Eat, Pray, Love. Thanks for the warning, although I still want to read it.

Ugh, I couldn't get through the first 50 pages of Eat, Pray, Love. Anyone else want to yank her off the bathroom floor and tell her to get a life? Maybe just me. Finding out that the trip wasn't this spontaneous soul searching journey as much as an idea for a book that the author pitched first and then took the trip sucked the spirituality out of it for me. Julia Roberts playing her didn't help. That aside not liking the dress color. Too pale. Red or emerald green would have made it a winner.

After she went to Italy I totally checked out. I read "Pray and Love" just for a sense of completion...

Short video of Katie talking about her recent topless Glamour shoot and why her fashion sense sucks. Okay, so I made that last part up, but they do talk about her fashion past choices and specific outfits and she just blamessays her "friend" Jean helped with the choices they made together. LOL
