Freaking Sarah! I groaned and thought about the Greecies. Come on Sarah. Well, maybe it will work. I did love his exchange with Max. I was ugly-crying at the end. Good for Amber! I am glad she saw the pattern. I love Jasmine and Crosby. I also love Victor! I am glad it was a happy ending.

It was so hokey, but I was happy for a Christmas ep.
Yes, Sarah, just a week ago you got indignant with your fiance when he suspected you might hop into the sack with your boss. And yet, the furniture is still spinning, cartoon-style, as you hastily moved out of Mark's place and... here you are. Great example you're setting there.
All those Bravermans invading the hospital? Not gonna happen. Even if it's Christmas, they're not going to let a bunch of potentially germy people (esp. kids) into the ICU where someone with a compromised immune system is just recovering from a near-fatal infection.
And it would have been nice if they had addressed not telling Haddie about her mother's condition. Did they relent and tell her at some point? Why wouldn't they show that? Or does Haddie still think her mom is cancer-free and this was a health anomaly?

It was hokey, but I am glad too!
Totally, about the ICU and whatnot. Come on.
The thing is, Sarah didn't seem one bit sad about the break up. She was gonna marry the guy! Well, good thing she didn't.

Double posting...it's been a bit!
So, Monica Potter needs an Emmy. She makes me cry, and makes me believe she is Kristina. So good. Her face is so expressive and says so much.
You know, I am not feeling the pregnancy storyline. It seems maybe a bit contrived with all the other issues. I mean, I know, that's life: multiple issues all going on at the same time. But I don't know, does this show really need it? What does interest me is that reading about it today on the Parenthood FB fanpage, some folks were talking about quitting the show if the gf (what the hell is her name?) has an abortion. Geez, really? I mean, I know it is against some beliefs, but come on. I'm sure it's not gonna be all "Abortion! Wheeeee!!"
It just seems like a bit much. I also hated Amber's car accident a couple seasons back. Just seemed tacked on.
What do y'all think?

The teen pregnancy storyline is straight from the original movie - the character on which Sarah is based has two teenagers and the daughter gets pregnant. However, the movie is very self-contained and ends with a "babies for everybody!" theme. The show hasn't gotten there - yet.

I'm fine with the pregnancy story if it keeps Mark around a little longer. Maybe poor Sydney, who is getting the shaft at her house, can be his new roomie. He has cable now and everything.
I agree that Monica Potter is doing a great job right now. It must be tiring to always have to be on the brink of tears. I wish Haddie wasn't away at college because it would be nice to see how this affects one of her children. Max is in Max Land and Nora's obviously too young to get it. I guess that's what they're using Amber for right now.
I'm bummed that there's only 3 more episodes this season.

Oh my gosh, that's right! It was in the original movie. I totally forgot that. How, I don't know, as it was Teen Father Keanu Reeves.

And the pregnant teen daughter was Martha Plimpton and "Sarah" was Diane Wiest. "Adam and Kristina" were Steve Martin and Mary Steenbergen and "Zeek" was Jason Robards. The movie had a great cast. As does the show, but I think the writers on the show are trying too hard.

That's right! Yes, both casts are/were great. Well, I think they handled the pregnancy well. Poor Drew is so broken-hearted. Max was the clear awesomeness last night. How are there only 2 episodes left? Ugh.

I just saw the Sex and the City episode where Miranda gets pregnant and decides to have the baby. Carrie and Samantha both mention they had had abortions but those happened pre-storyline. I can't remember the last time a TV character had an abortion on a show. Could it really be as far back as Maude? Heartbreakingly well done, show.
Yes, only 2 episdoes left, and one of them will be used dealing with Sarah's latest complicated love life. Snooze.
