I'm fascinated by how all five of them seem to be the exact same height and body type. Must be a dream for their stylists.
Other than that: I think I like "Little Things" despite the, erm, questionable lyrics ;-)

No offense to those who like them, but I tried watching a video on Youtube and it slayed me. It was like the bastard offspring of the Robin Sparkles/Dawson Leery music video and an American Eagle commercial.

Other than that: I think I like "Little Things" despite the, erm, questionable lyrics ;-) Ed Sheeran wrote "Little Things" and it sounds exactly like one of his songs. I like it but I'm still trying to figure out how it ended up on a One Direction album (I mean, I know they are friends). It just seems out of place, but I like it. He wrote "Over Again" also.

Little Things is just so, so condescending to me. With different lyrics I would like it.

I like Over Again. Little Things is horrible and they sound like creepy dudes who prey on insecure girls.

I like Over Again. Little Things is horrible and they sound like creepy dudes who prey on insecure girls. That is true-which its like, if they had either "What Makes you Beautiful" or "Little things" as singles it would be weird, but its creepy that in the past two years they've had two songs on the radio about how "you don't like yourself, so I'll like you because of that"

I can't tell them apart except for Zayn, but they seem harmless and more interesting than Bieber.

It speaks to young girls so perfectly even if it is kinda wrong. So, genius marketing there.

They have a distinct sound for a boy band, I think. If I hear one of their melodies, I'll immediately know it's their sound.
Then again, I think British boy bands, in general, seem to be better skilled at making music that is boy band-ish without being overly mock-worthy. Not sure why that is exactly. The One Direction videos can be pretty in that way that is appealing to teen girls (both in how the boys are styled and just the general atmosphere), but I'm not really creeped out in the way I am while watching a Justin Bieber make-out video.
Also, it seems that in Britain you can like fun pop music, even if it is by a boy band, without being embarrassed about it (Prince William and Prince Harry didn't seem embarrassed about making it known to the world that the band Westlife was one of their mom's favorite pop groups. Nor did they seem all that embarrassed to be seen bopping to them at the Diana concert either.)

The only one I like is Niall. I'm indifferent to Harry and I think that Liam, Louis, and Zayn are tools.
