I really hope it is renewed as well, but yea, the ending felt like a series ending, this must have been hard for the cast to film knowing that is a possibility. This episode was the best in forever. Please Fox give it another chance. Yes! The show is utterly ridiculous but I love it! I really hope it comes back next season. And because it can't be said often or loudly enough: STAY DEAD, KATRINA!

AHHHHHH! Very satisfying end. Show you know you've failed with a character when you're going overboard with the super sad soundtrack at her demise, having another character prone with grief over her body- but your audience is cheering and grinning ear to ear as she finally bites it. I know I was at least! I only got misty eyed when Abbie met Grace and Grace realized who she was (wait *sniff* still gets me a bit). Total dry eyed moment for Katrina. No tears- just smiles!! MA HA HA!!
I do feel sorry for the actress though. It wasn't her fault her character sucked so bad, and now she's out a paycheck unless Katrina shows up in flashbacks. (Which knowing this show, she might)
If the show doesn't get renewed- at least it ended on a high note. The Witnesses reunited and refocused. Irving alive, well and still armed with that katana I dig so much. Jenny also alive and well and hopefully having more to do than play Ms. Exposition if there is a next season. But the slate's been wiped clean of everything that was dragging the show down, so it's the perfect opportunity for them to get it right next time if they have a next time.
If they don't, like the old Smiths song goes I may feel slightly sad, but I won't cry. Sleepy Hollow broke my heart a little by sucking so bad for the majority of Season 2 and so I'm not sure I completely trust them not to botch up Season 3. By ditching Henry and Katrina and bringing Irving back in one swoop, they're already in a much better place to start. But with so many possibilities ahead of them- they probably have an equal chance of sucking as much as they could be awesome again. I'd like to think they could be awesome again. I mean, they still have the Horseman who could come back without a head now that Katrina's not around with her stupid necklace. They COULD bring back Moloch easily (He's a giant oogie boogie demon, they don't die so easy) They could also bring back John Cho since I think the show he was on got cancelled. They still have all the Founding Fathers in Flashbacks to play with- and now that they've introduced this Time Travel spell into canon- someone could get brought into the future to hang out for a bit (for good or for evil). They could bring back Attractive War Correspondent, Corbin's son and yes even Hawley if he promises to remain less intrusive and more shirtless.
And of course, they could introduce any number of new and exciting adventures- Just as long as they're faced by Abbie and Crane united with Jenny and Irving backing them up- and Capt. Reyes shaking her head at it all (Or is she EVIL?!?!?! MA HA HA HAHA!!!!)
Here's hoping for the best!

I had more or less given up on the show but I kept hearing I should give it another chance. So I watched the finale. So glad I did! Jeremy/Henry dead! Katrina dead! Irving back from the dead! Abbie is actually the lead again!
I agree this ep could function as a finale. I do hope Fox will give it another chance.

I forgot to mention how much Ichabod figuring out the cell phone and trying the 'Slide to Unlock' feature cracked me up. Also Benjamin Franklin's joy at hearing how many of his inventions became reality and that he got the $100 bill while Jefferson was stuck on the $2! Sucks they decapitated him but, I think that was to parallel Crane losing a 'mentor' in the past as Abbie had done with Corbin in the present/ future. And also, Franklin dying let us know it would probably turn out ok with the reversal spell. I mean, you gotta set things right if you kill off a Founding Father before the Declaration of Independence gets signed, dontcha? Fun times!

I wish every episode this season could have been like the season(not series we hope) finale. It was fun and fast moving.

Loved that Abbie warned the soldier that there had been advances in hand to hand combat before she laid that beatdown on him. ( and Ichabod's "...I'm here to save you")

Is it true it might not be renewed??? I loved the last couple of episodes, they really got it back on track with what is so fun about the show: the team being all back together, the chemistry between the two leads, and Katrina either gone or looming in the background as a villain. So if the powers that be are reading, please bring it back! I am looking forward to it next season. And I have disposable income to buy the stuff the sponsors sell :-)
