I love her grandmother. That's all I've got. Yes! That's kind of who I was thinking of when someone upthread commented about actors living on a ranch. Tippi has a ranch, but it's a wildlife rescue, and maybe that's Dakota's true passion--like Linda Blair. I just recently heard Tippi be interviewed on a podcast that was doing a deep dive on Hitchcock films and she just seems so kind and still appreciative of her career etc.

She has absolutely no spark. Jezebel had a couple of unbelievable quotes from the article: I really don't buy that she's recognized so much outside of London, she doesn't stand out at all. Word. I wouldn't have known who she was if it weren't for all the hype about 50 Shades. Also as far as celeb spawn is concerned, Demi Moore's children are more recognizable than Dakota (for example). Even with the FSOG hype I wouldn't be able to pick her out of a line-up of one.

She comes across as very stoic. Either she's just a stuck up celeb off-spring and has a flippant attitude or she's just doesn't give a shit. Gotta make a living somehow, right?
I think she's very much like Kristen Stewart, only the difference is one wants to be taken seriously and the other couldn't care less. Plus, I don't think Dakota is nearly as awkward as KS is.

All I can say is, the gene pool from Tippi to Melanie to Dakota was certainly diluted, if not outright contaminated.

That Defamer article was awesome.... and I think she looks like Marlee too!
....and I still can't wrap my head around the fact that stupid author sold 100 million books. Jesus.

Having seen a few interviews and trailers for 50SOG, Dakota comes off as more forgettable than Ann Veal. She’s got so little charisma it’s like she’s not even there.
I read her Vogue interview and I have no recollection of any information in that article. Did she go to college? I don’t remember. Does she have hobbies? Probably not. What else has she been in? Don’t remember. What was it like being raised by Melanie Griffith, Don Johnson, and Antonio Banderas? Who knows. She’s just a void.

On her Vogue cover, she sort of resembles Gillian Anderson around the nose and eyes.

That Defamer article was awesome.... In that Glamour Q&A Jamie looked like he'd rather swallow molten lava than answer questions with Dakota. That said, all of the complaining he did about the kinky things he had to do for the sex scenes came off as whiny. Did he not read the script before he accepted the role? Suck it up or don't accept those kinds of roles. Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.
