Is Tom Ford weird? I know he has said some level 10 stupid shit, but the stuff I have heard is mostly rich people idiocracy, not creepy shit. He's been with his partner for decades. Is John Cameron Mitchell weird? He seems nice. Come kill my perceptions, Greecies.

There are several exceptions, I'm sure. Ryan Murphy and Kevin Williamson seem like okay guys, too. It also seems like many gay artists (Bret Easton Ellis, for example) express their weirdness in their art which might leave them less repressed in the long run.
I guess I'm just so weary of so many high profile gay filmmakers seeming to invariably be involved in shit like this. But then again, it is Hollywood. Straight filmmakers are just as bad.

Ryan Murphy has some casting couch rumors and there are creepy stories/BIs attached to him concerning the dude who plays Blaine.
Brett Easton Ellis is a HUGE trainwreck. Some of his recent controversies include implying that Katherine Bigelow got an Oscar nom/win because she's hot, that gay men can't play straight characters, and that watching Glee was like "falling into a puddle of HIV." Oh, and he smack-talked about David Foster Wallace right after his suicide. Sometimes he goes looking for sex/drugs via his public Twitter account. Seriously, the list goes on and on.
Topic: There are pics now with Ian McKellan and Kevin Spacey partying with this dude and his teenage-looking boyfriends. Sigh. Hollywood is so creepy.

I take it a countersuit is a standard intimidation technique, especially when a lot of money is involved. It starts out with the defendant essentially saying "I have more money and resources than you do, so I'll sue you too. You can't afford to defend yourself and will have to drop the case" but usually ends with the plaintiff saying "I have more evidence than you do and it's highly embarrassing and damaging. You have more to lose than I do, so pay up and get it over with already."

I'm sorry, but whether the person is actually underage or just looks underage, I think there is something wrong with any adult who is ONLY attracted to people who look underage or very, very young. And that goes for straight men with young teen girls as well. Sure, Bryan has gotten away with it as an "open secret" for years with twinks who are technically legal, but has no one thought this was kinda sick? This was posted on datalounge a few years ago. Of course, it's anonymous so grain of salt and all that, but I believe it because the "twink parties" are well known. Apparently, you got a better spot at the party according to how young you looked.

My thing is if the parties and penchant for barely legal guys was an open secret, then it probably stands to reason that there were shadier things going on that he was trying to hide.
Oh, but attorneys who are going to countersue announce it to the press before filing anything? I can't when these defense attorneys act like the plaintiffs are the only ones playing games.

Wouldn't having access to a private jet make the "it's impossible for me to have been there" defense moot? Unless he has proof of every single day of filming, I don't see how that helps much. It helps a little, but not entirely. And it only addresses one aspect of the suit. The bulk of it appears to have to do with the estate in Encino and its "well known" parties.

Having a private jet allows him a lot of leeway and privacy for his activities but I would think being in the middle of production and being accountable to the studios would make it neatly impossible for him to jet here and there for sex parties. Like you said though, that's just one aspect of the case. Guessing Singer's attorneys are hoping if they can show one part was a lie then the rest of the case will crumble.
