I was thinking a lot of the boys may have been runaways, or just from broken homes. You'd be surprised how many "parents" don't ask questions or even care when kids disappear for days or weeks at a time. I think parents get stars in their eyes and forget common sense. Didn't Roman Polanski's victim get dropped off by her mom? Her mom who didn't think anything of dropping off a 14 year old at a grown man's house for a photoshoot. Natalie Wood's mother let her date men much older when she was a teen. Priscilla Presley's parents let her go live with Elvis when she was 14. And the list goes on and on. And look at all the parents that dropped their kids off at Micheal Jackson's house. I firmly believe Michael was abused as a child himself (not that I am in any way excusing his behavior). Joe Jackson would have thought nothing of looking the other way while any of his children were abused if it meant a record contract.

Throw in the large swaths of young & often naive hopefuls coming to LA every year, dreaming of making it big in Hollywood, and you pretty much have a recipe for disaster.

3 New Men Accused, all of them Hollywood Executives. This is really going to get ugly.

Is this what Cory Feldman was talking about in his book and interviews?

Is this going to be like the Catholic Church and the pedophile Priests? I don't know about the others, but Garth was very, very well liked by staff at The CW.

Damn, this is bad. And of course, Hollywood will protect its own.
I really want to believe that none of this happened but I think it is true.

Apparently the photo posted in this thread with Singer and Ian McKellan also contains one of the 3 new accused. Ugh.

Awful, but not surprising. Look at R. Kelly.
Nicole Brown Simpson's parents let her date OJ when she was a teenager.
I think most parents would put their foot down and say no, but a lot wouldn't. Money isn't everything but it makes everything a lot easier.

I have to say the likes of Dina Lohan & PMK have shown over the years to have no qualms about pimping out their kids. I'm sure they are just the tip of the iceberg. Plenty of parents would turn a blind eye in the hope that their kid will land a lucrative role and hell if it all goes wrong I bet there are those who would run to a lawyer and take a quiet payoff.

I agree canuckcutie. For every Dina & PMK, there are dozens that we never hear about. They never make it big and their entire Hollywood experience is being sexually exploited. I'm sure that in some cases it goes beyond parents turning a blind eye to actively participating. Some people only see their kids as potential meal tickets and if success in the acting industry isn't in the cards, why not literally pimp them out? There are stars who I have a lot of respect for (though that number is constantly shrinking) but I've never had any illusions about Hollywood. Money, fame and power tends to attract the lowest common denominator or bring it out in otherwise decent people. The same applies to politics. This same sort of thing happens in D.C., except without the stage parent factor. And then, of course, there are the music and sports industries. It seems like power should make a person think about all of the vulnerable people they can help because of their status but, unfortunately, the opposite happens. Instead, it's all about taking advantage of the most vulnerable people.
