I like him and his music, but I'm not about to get all swept up in the whole 'Claymate' thing. I went to one of the Christmas concerts last year, and those people scared me. They are certifiable. All I want from him is to sing cheesy pop songs and be a goofball on talk shows.

Clay was at Kenneth Cole's fashion show this morning.
Sorry, I can't seem to make the tags work. Images from Olympus Fashion Week Spring 2006 are up at Getty Images and Wire Images.
Edited again: There are a couple of pictures of him hugging Katie Couric. Awwwwww.

His music is OK to me, somthing I hear on the soft rock station when Mr. Limey's goth rock starts to make me insane.I recall a story about his diva bitch behavior on Regis & Kelly a while back involving someone not bringing him the right brand of soda, either Coke or Pepsi,I forget.
I almost forgot of the evil which is the claymates, lots of older women and pre-pubecent girls who when asked if he was gay by me replied with the lil' gem, "Clay isn't gay, and you saying that is just so Freakin' gay". I guess on the Claymate application form there isn't a box for I.Q.

Let's say I knew somebody, let's call them a "friend". And this "friend" was interested in becoming a Claymate. How exactly would they go about getting started?

Who cares?? No, seriously--why is someone's sexual preferences anyone's business? Gay, straight, who gives a sh**?? If someone is a good singer/actor/underwater basket weaver, does it matter? And Kathy Griffin just enjoys pissing everybody off, regardless of who they are, or what station they hold in life, so her "beliefs" don't mean much. It wouldn't matter if these rumors were about Clay Aiken or Justin Timberlake or Oprah Winfrey. I'd say as long as they aren't hurting anyone, what they do is their own business.

It wouldn't matter if these rumors were about Clay Aiken or Justin Timberlake or Oprah Winfrey. I'd say as long as they aren't hurting anyone, what they do is their own business. Because, my dear, this is a site that exists for the purpose of discussing and snarking on celebrities. That includes their looks, their weight, their actions, their significant others and their sexual orientation. And when a celebrity puts himself in the spotlight for public consumption, they become fair game and then, yes, it is other people's business. I'm not trying to be mean in saying this, but if this kind of thing offends or annoys you, perhaps you'd be better suited to another board. [on topic] I used to love Clay to bits during his American Idol days, but not so much any more. I just can't stand the Lite FM music he's put out thus far. He's such a beautiful singer; if only somebody would hook him up with some good music. His rendition of Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me from his AI days still gives me chills. And I don't care what anybody says. Girlfriend is as gay as the day is long. He's gay and he's a diva b**tch, and I love him all the more for it.[/on topic]
