That person describes himself as masculin/butch. Umm, no. I feel for him. He's got all these teeny-bopper girl fans. Much like I had David Cassidy. Young girls love that non-threatening girly hearthrob type. What's he supposed to do? Coming out would definitely be a big deal, and he might lose those little girl fans.

Coming out would definitely be a big deal, and he might lose those little girl fans. Agreed, but I just roll my eyes when I hear people say things like, "I used to have a crush on [celebrity] but then I found out he was gay." As if they had a chance to marry him in the first place or something. What does it matter if Clay is gay, he's not going to hook up with some dumb screaming teenybopper holding an "I LUV U CLAY" sign at one of his shows. (I'm not trying to pick on your post; I just find it odd, the way those kinds of "fans" think.) As for me I figure, yeah he's probably gay.

But when I was 11, I thought I would marry David Cassidy. And then her turned out not to be gay, but short and annoying. Now these older women that are following him and screaming, sheesh. They're right up there with the women that fall in love with prisoners. Both are just about as attainable.

It's the passion part of this that sounds wrong to me. I just can't connect that concept with Clay Aiken.

I think he's likely gay, too, but another thing to consider is that he's also pretty young, so he could still be struggling with his identity, and hasn't even come out to himself yet. Lookit George Michael... a pop star from age 19, but spent years with the am-I-or-aren't-I deal.

Tell it, sister, the man is a jackass! And I had a huge crush on him, too.
I also had a crush on Elton John and George Michael at different times in my life. (Elton as a kid, George as an adult.) I wouldn't have cared if they came out at those points because their being gay wouldn't have prevented me from dating them as much as me not being a supermodel or fabulously wealty and well-connected.
As for Clay, I think he's gay. He needs to hook up with CTC and figure out how to be more discreet because apparently this random internet-hooking-up thing isn't working out too well.

I wouldn't wish Tom Cruise on my worst enemy. Gay or straight.

Are the Claymates young girls? I've always read that they were housewives. I think that demographic would love him no matter what.

It's Liberace syndrome.
You know, the "blue-haired" ladies who loved Liberace but refused to believe he was gay.
Well, history repeats itself with our boy Clay!
