Those of you who've seen him on One Life to Live, is he the kind of lucky soap actor who has actual talent (like Julianne Moore) or just one of the countless pretty divas? And what's this I hear about him having a hissy fit when he was fired from OLTL? Superman pictures

Dude, I hope he has a degree in accounting or something substantial like that to fall back on, because from the looks of those Superman pics, the movie looks like pure uncut crap, and will porbably bomb. I hate to be cynical, but it looks like his career is going to end before it even starts.

Okay. Long before I started watching regularly.
I can say though, Superman does look like a piece of crap, judging from the pictures and that trailer.
He and Kate Bosworth just look like stand-ins.

I wanna believe the movie will be awesome because of Brian Singer. The X-Men movies were great and I'm hoping that Superman will be along the same lines, but, quite frankly, this movie looks like hot sweet ass on a sunny day and I can't imagine how it'll be good at all. Anyway, the guy does actually look nerdy enough to be Clark Kent, and I could buy that no one would recognize him. On the other hand, damn, that's an ugly Superman suit.

Superman in any form is big in my family, so I'd probably see this movie if it starred Kermit the Frog. Hey, actually, that would be fun, wouldn't it? Topic.... Brandon was my friend's neighbor/schoolmate in Norwalk (why yes, I live in Iowa, why do you ask?), so if anyone's interested I could press her for some details. Just a thought.

I didn't think he showed much talent when he was on OLTL. I was surprised when I heard he got the role in Superman.
The most memorable thing about his time on OLTL was the scorching HoYay between him and the guy who plays Rex (John-Paul Lavoisier). There were rumors that they might actually "go there" with the characters, but ABC/Disney squashed it.
As for the "hissy fit", when he was fired from OLTL, he took it personally and left a nasty note on his official website saying that the OLTL brass would pay for their decisions in the after life. hee. I still can't think about it without giggling. I wonder if I could find the actual post if I put the URL into the Wayback Machine.
Aha! I found it. Here is the infamous post:

Yeah, because God cares about casting decisions.
He sounds like a fundie almost.

(tiny, squeaky voice)He's kinda hot...(/tsv)
This was brilliant!
Apparently they cast the part of Superman on looks alone, because I have to say he does have the Supes look going on. At least that much can be said for a movie that looks like it's shaping up to be the second coming of Ishtar.
