Now tomorrow morning, I'll breakfast in bed, and then get straight up into the tweeds.

And now In Touch is reporting that, at the time the story broke, AND while the Duggars were under the current police investigation, off-duty cops were being paid to be security guards at Josh's new home and the main compound.
Yeah, Jim Bob, the cops are totally out to get you if they're doing that for you.

Jill and Derick are still being cagey about the details of their mission trip, yet still asking for donations to help fund it.
Now there's no mention of starting their OWN ministry. Now they are suddenly affiliated with a mission organization. It's looking like the speculation that, as opposed to setting off on their own in a brave effort to help others, they are actually just going on an ordinary mission trip with the evangelical SOS Ministries organization that does little to help the community they set camp in, was correct. The lie about keeping the details secret for security purposes is about as believable as the existence of a babysitter. They've been keeping the public updated on their every travel move real time through social media for weeks, but now all of the sudden there's a security risk. What the fuck are they afraid of now that they weren't afraid of a few days ago? Either this is an elaborate Katie Holmes cult escape situation, or they are a couple of scam artist famewhores. I would bet on the latter.

1. The use of the "verb" "to purpose" makes my proofreader's heart bleed.
2. YOUR, not YOU'RE 4th of JULY!
A lot of words, but not much said. Basically a glorified to-do list. Michelle obviously ghostwrote this.

Yeah, the list of tasks they are "tirelessly" working their way through is pretty unimpressive. Making copies, calling the insurance company, going shopping, putting cards in envelopes and dropping them in a mailbox. People with jobs to all of this and so much more "tirelessly" all week long "purposing" to get themselves a paycheck. They really have no concept of what it means to actually work for a living.

I gotta get into religion. I really need someone to pay for my international vacations.

Goodbye to Jill and Derick This confirms it. They are going to Central America and the rest of the family will join them to spread the word of their God and do little else. This most definitely was part of the future TLC filming plans that have since been put on hold. Jim the TLC sound guy is sorely missed here. It's like Jim Bob is in complete denial and has lost his damn mind with filming scenes for a show that doesn't exist. They all look a little worse for wear, especially Derick. The last couple of minutes with Jim Bob bringing up the death of Derick's dad and staring him down and nodding as he was talking a bunch of fundie jibberish was creepy as hell. Derick is still very raw from his father's death, and it looks like Jim Bob has used that as an emotional trigger to keep Derick in line. There's a real cult leader and cult follower vibe between Jim Bob and Derick. Meanwhile, seeing Joyanna crying like somebody died is heartbreaking.

You'll get more natural interaction between a bunch of posed mannequins than the Duggars will ever be able to muster. Jim Bob is an ass. I agree about Derrick needing a shave but I wonder if he hasn't due to the recent jaw surgery. Maybe the area is too sore?
A while back I read something about if the molestation had been reported, they would have lost their ability to home-school. I wonder if they can still lose that even though the statute of limitations has expired. After all, they did admit on national TV that something did happen. Would be interesting if they weren't allowed to continue their "education" at home and had to attend public schools with the heathens.

I don't think the kids will have to go to a public school, though. I live in a town of about 55,000 and in addition to the public schools (city and county), there are no fewer than four parochial schools, ranging from Catholic to Bob Jones-curriculum. The kids will probably have a more rigorous education, but it's unlikely to puncture their bubble. Although one could hope...

If TLC isn't paying for it, who is? Are they relying entirely on private donations? That's really what matters.
I don't care if these people believe if a fundamentalist dogma that's actively harmful to a lot of people. I mean I care, but it pales in comparison to that a teenage boy was allowed to molest prepubescent girld and the highest levels of government let him do it. That's what matters. Not using Josh's crimes as a way to backdoor attack religious you disagree with and score points for your political side.
Also, if that civil suit with the non-family victim goes forward, can Josh even leave the country?
