Oh I definitely agree with you chiquita, but I have seen that blind item alluding to them several times recycled. It makes the powers that be appear to think the audience is a bunch of gullible idiots. Frankly when I go to the movies, I don't want to know too too much about the actor or actress in the picture. It makes it easier for the actor or actress to disappear into the character. Unfortunately, I'm a pop culture addict so I seem to always know at least a little bit personally about all the leads.

In the issue of Vogue that she's on the cover of she does address the rumors. Also one of the directors of one her films mentions her surprising everybody by showing up on the first day of filming on the back of Fassbender's motorcycle. That's something a real couple would do: hey honey, it's your first day on this movie, I can drop you off if you want. She also talked about being in New Zealand where I believe he was filming Assassin's Creed. I like them as a couple - they are both adorable. I have a feeling he will break her heart one day, though.
Congrats to her for winning a Critic's Choice Award last night!

The idea that their relationship is for PR is absurd and the product of psycho fangirls. They've been dating for over a year, and they haven't really publicized it, just been snapped by paparazzi or in photos on other people's Instagrams. It's not like they've been trying to sell their great love story to People magazine or been all over Entertainment Tonight for the relationship (I assume, I don't watch those shows). Plus, Fassbender doesn't need a fake relationship to help his career, and Vikander already had finished several films and was booked for several more when they started dating while filming a movie together. I'm 99% sure that those blind items were made up by psycho Fassbender fans, just like Cumberbatch's psycho fans make up blind items about him. They've been dating for over a year and have been spotted on a regular basis doing normal things in private (going out to dinner, vacationing) while largely keeping it OUT of the press. Towards the end of the year, Alicia acknowledged her "boyfriend" a handful of times in interviews, which Fassbender's psycho fans saw as proof of her famewhoring the fake relationship. It wasn't until Fassbender talked a little bit about his "girlfriend" on the Golden Globes red carpet (which he and Alicia walked separately) that most of his fans grudgingly accepted that it's a real relationship. It's all been very sexist. Even Kaiser at Celebitchy who should know better but is kind of a psycho fan herself was like, "Oh I guess they are really together then." Yeah, no doy. As for Alicia herself, the first interview I ever saw of hers was a DP/30 interview from a couple of years ago and she was so dull and charisma-free. Dave Poland can usually get an interesting interview going with anyone, and even he seemed to completely give up. I thought either she was extremely reserved and not good at interviews yet, or just personality-free. I have subsequently seen her on a couple of late night talk shows and she was quite charming and funny, but I do think she tends to be reserved.

I love her. In 2012, She was in a movie called "A Royal Affair," and I thought she was awesome in it. I thought, "who is this girl, she's great."
I think the issue with some of Fassbender's fans is that he usually goes for WOC. To some it looks like, "now that your star is rising, you want a white woman." There's a lot of truth to that, I for one hate when people do shit like that, shaft black women and other WOC, BUT I don't know if it's so in this case.

That is where I first saw her as well, in A Royal Affair! She would outshine Mads in scenes together, which is quite the feat.
I really like her as an actress - she seems incredibly shy in interviews.

I've only seen her in Ex Machina, and she was really good in that.

She was great in Ex Machina. I think there's a doll-like quality to her face that worked well for her in that role.

I've only seen her in Ex Machina, and she was really good in that. I loved everyone and everything associated with that movie. I've also seen clips of her in The Danish Girl and she was good in those too. What the Fassbender loonies who claim she's using him to get ahead in her career ignore is that: a) She's been on the verge of breaking out for a few years now, before she met him, and it's Ex Machina that did it. b) As Lainey pointed out, she can't be using him for fame when he's barely famous himself. But in psycho tumblr universe they think every instagram taken by a fan is actually a Harvey Weinstein-arranged publicity stunt that can make or break a career.

I've only seen her in Ex Machina, and she was really good in that. I loved everyone and everything associated with that movie. I have to admit that I sought out the movie after seeing the gif of Oscar Isaac dancing (rawr!), but was pleasantly surprised by how good the whole movie and everyone in it was.

She was stunning in The Danish Girl. Ds1 and I saw it last week and were stunned when all her award noms were for supporting actress rather than lead. I understand why, but she was onscreen at least as much as Eddie Redmayne, and they played off each other beautifully.
Go see it--it's a visually gorgeous movie and the acting is superb.
