Love her? Hate her? "Who? Oh, she was in Little Women, wasn't she?" Ladies and gentlemen, start your snarking! She made the Washington Post today. She didn't sound dreadful, but there were some real whiny spots. Suck it up, kid.

Oh my, I hate her so much. I was hoping that her career was dead but apparently not. Hopefully Shopgirl will flop.

I does piss me off when actors bitch about the press tour. Yes, they have to repeat mostly the same thing over and over to a different journalist every twenty minutes. Well cry me a river bitch. That's a few days once or twice a year. In return for a multi million dollar check. Try working in a shop for real, where you have to repeat the same thing over and over to a new customer every five minutes, and if you're really lucky having to use the idioticic phrases-de-jour mandated by some exec who think saying those exact words parrot fashon will make up for the high prices and the fact that you don't have what they want in stock. And smile. And be polite. And put up with rudeness and crap. Ever day. Every week. While worrying about meeting your sales target and the possibility of getting fired. For ten bucks an hour.

Hate her. Loved her in Little Women, but she's a moronic little snot and a homewrecker to boot.
ETA: my god, she sounds like Fishy! Maybe we should call her Fishstick Jr.?

Don't like her at all.
She looks trailer park trashy to me no matter what, and I'm not sure why it is. She's always clean and well put together, but there is something I don't like about her. Enough so that the only movie I've seen that she's been in, is Little Women, I've managed to avoid all her other movies, even though other than the fact that she was in them, most look good.

I loved My So Called Life so much that I was able to ignore a lot of her whining because the love overshadowed that but the Crudup fiasco killed the last bit for me.
I feel that she's horrifyingly overrated. Yes, MSCL was excellent but I thought Romeo & Juliet was hideous and I haven't been impressed with many of her other movies. In fact, that movie where she gets stuck in a Thai prison was probably her best piece of work ever and I was one of the few people who actually saw it.
She's just such a wet rag to me. She seems like such a boring pile of bleh.
Plus, I loved reading the book Shopgirl and I'm sort of disappointed that she got that part. I pictured a Maggie Gyllenhaal type in that role.

She didn't really register with me until the Billy Crudup thing.
Now, I don't like her.
I did like Romeo and Juliet and Little Women, though.

She's sort of a nonentity.

Romeo and Juliet (1997 version) is probably my favorite movie in life (no kidding, right after The Princess Bride). so I have nothing but fondness for Claire.
I also really liked her in Igby Goes Down.
I can't find it in myself to care about the Crudup thing.
