I've always thought she had a weird-looking face. I've never gotten why she, Rachel Hunter and Elle McPherson were supposed to be so beautiful. Fine bodies, but weird faces. (Hunter particularly has a damn unpretty face).
Cindy Crawford is gorg, tho. But all in all, actresses are a lot prettier than so-called supermodels.

Sunnyhorse -- Yes, you're right, the song is "She's Always A Woman To Me." (I put, She's Only A Woman To Me.) Still, I wouldn't want to be with a man who held those sentiments about women. I hadn't cared less about Christie Brinkley until I heard what a jerk Joel is. Then I credited her for hanging in there as long as she did. Actually, his song, Uptown Girl, that was inspired by her in their early days is kind of a put-down as well with that "She's living in her white-bread world" thing.
(Man, I should not get started on Billy Joel and his women-hating lyrics...)

Billy Joel is such a drunk driving tool. I hope Christie stays far from him. She seems a little nutty, but very nice.

Her face changed somewhat after she had her first baby (Alexa?) and she's never been quite as gorgeous, to me. (Of course, she's still more gorgeous than 99% of human women.)
In interviews (print & TV), she comes across as a not overly bright person who nonetheless takes herself very, very seriously.

Right now, I can't even remember what this chick looks like. I keep picturing Rachel Hunter.

She's forever associated with National Lampoons in my mind.

I bought Christie's beauty book when I was a pre-teen. Even back then, she was adamant about keeping her face out of the sun. It was some advice that I'm glad I followed. Staying out of the sun, no alcohol and a healthy diet are probably why she looks so good. Throw in genetics and some Botox as well, no doubt.
I saw her interviewed after her marriage to Taubman. He sounded like a nightmare. Apparently he lied about his finances and other things, so she paid him to go away.
I like Christie as a model. She was so golden and healthy. But I've always gotten the impression that she is very high maintenance and extremely self-absorbed. Still, it's too bad for her kids that the marriage to this guy didn't last. he seemed pretty nice.

Only this time it will be: "Christie: Making it Alone."

I recently read a Good Housekeeping interview with her. She talked about her parents aging and health concerns. She said how hard it was because they were in California and she was flying back and forth and she hates flying ever since the helicopter crash, but she didn't want to uproot her family. Maybe this caused some stress in the marriage. Can't remember what if anything she said about her husband.

Only this time it will be: "Christie: Making it Alone." Or, "Christie: I'll Never Marry Again", with some sob story about this marriage. Okay honey. This is #4. Why don't you have this handled yet?
