(I hope it's ok I'm starting a new thread because I did a search for the past 500 days and didn't find a thread on her.)I read today that she's reprising her role as Elizabeth I in a sequel to Elizabeth, called The Golden Age. I wonder if she'll get another nomination for Best Actress?

I find her mesmerizing. I don't know what it is, I think it's her voice. She is seriously stunning and seems like a great mom. Elizabeth was such a great movie, I would love to see her reprise her role. To this day, I'm shocked Gwyneth brought home the oscar and not her (as I know many are).

She's my all-time favorite. In my eyes, she does no wrong. She is one of those actresses whom I will see in any movie, any movie at all.
*pops in Elizabeth, snuggles in with some knitting...*

I'm no fan of Gwynnie's. But I am one of those heathens who never quite understood the supposed Brokeback Mountain-sized miscarriage of justice that ocurred when Paltrow won instead of Blanchett.
I mean it's all art and that's always subjective isn't it?
And it's not as if Pamela Anderson beat Meryl Streep in the race for Best Actress.
I thought Gwyneth's win over Cate was one of those things about which reasonable people could disagree.

I love Cate. She's my big-nosed role model. So pretty.
And the dress she wore to the oscars when she was nominated for Elizabeth is one of my favorite dresses ever.

Well, I'm one of the people that thinks it was a huge miscarriage of Oscar justice. Gwyneth played the same romantic comedy role she always plays, but Cate was absolutely amazing as Elizabeth. To me, it was no contest.
Does anyone have any idea why she didn't present Best Supporting Actor at the Oscars this year? On the Oscar thread we speculated that she was filming a movie, but IMDB doesn't have her filming anything right now.

LOVE Cate. Loved her Oscar gown last year-that yellow gown with the wine colored belt. Or her crimson maternity dress from Donna Karan that she wore to the Globes in what, 2004?
I also love how she said about playing Galadriel-that one of the biggest thrills was getting to wear the pointed ears. Because she had always wanted pointed ears!
