PMoC, where celebrity crushes go to die. Yep, sigh.

OT (from a few pages back) - is Neil Flynn gay/out? The only thing I could find with a (quick) googling was a reference to a girlfriend and a cat. Just wonderin'...

Wait, he was not on Queer as Folk, so my bad there.
But this is so weird! I remember him coming out in the '90s/early '00s. Good god, did I imagine something really random? Or did his personal life get wiped from the internet? Like, I knew people who were really into Scrubs and where super happy that the janitor came out.
Anyway, I don't know what reality is anymore. LOL.

Will The Great Wall Make Me Mad? Vulture breaks down the white savior bullshit in The Great Wall. Spoilers for the movie, not that I think anyone's too concerned about that. I want to know what Matt Damon was thinking, but more importantly, I want to know why Zhang Yimou is directing this? ?

I read that this movie was primarily financed by Chinese investors and is primarily aimed at a Chinese audience and the casting of a white, Western movie star in the lead was intentional for that purpose.
Matt Damon was asked recently about Trump's wall and gave a very vague, sketchy answer. I think he didn't want to bite the hand that feeds him by denouncing wall-builders.

Matt Damon is dangerously close to getting kicked off my roster of imaginary celebrity friends. He's on final notice.
Ben Affleck was never on it.

Yes, he's been treading very close to the line lately.
However I'll still take Matt Damon over smug, self-righteous thirstbucket George Clooney. Just in general, but also because of his "we need to do better" statement in regards to diversity when he is a powerful producer, director, writer and actor and has never done shit for diversity.
At least Ben Affleck makes sure nobody ever needs to knock him down a few pegs because he always takes care of that himself by being a disaster.

Chris Evans has taken a powerful lead in my imaginary celebrity friends list, and is far better looking than Matt and Ben combined to boot.

[OT] Surprisingly, after I watched the clip of Ashton Kutcher getting choked up testifying about human trafficking in front of Congress, he suddenly made his way *ON* to my list. All of my imaginary celebrity friends and I were shocked to see him there because we'd always thought he was a douche, but his sincerity and vindication were pretty powerful. [/OT]

He's totally off my list, and so are both Afflecks. Same with ScarJo and Tilda for playing whitewashing roles.
