I'm sorry, her book deal is an insult to real writers everywhere.

Her book deal is laughable. Poor David Boreanaz, having to present with her at the Emmys. He probably didn't even know who she was. I can't stand this girl. She seems reasonably level-headed for someone who's become so famous for doing absolutely nothing and who obviously came from money (her parents' house in Laguna!), I'll give her that... but she also seems incredibly vapid and self-righteous, and I want to poke my eyes out every time I see her interacting with one of her 'dates' on 'The Hills' - the constant giggling, eyelash-batting and googly eyes just kill me.

I LOVE her dress! She looks great! Poor David Boreanaz indeed. It did warm my dead heart to hear that she was named on a few worst dressed lists. I am curious, does anyone know what her parents do for a living??

Her dad is an architect, I believe. Not sure about her mom.

I liked her dress too.
I actually like her and watch her show, but I am still somewhat impressed that she (and MTV) managed to parlay her role on Laguna Beach into a popular spin-off reality show, fashion line, endorsements, and now a book deal. Back on the Laguna days, I remember the endless debates on TWOP over Lauren vs. Kristin. I can't believe she's come so far based on so little.

I'm sorry, her book deal is an insult to real writers everywhere. You said it. A series called "L.A. Candy" by the girl from "The Hills"-ugh. I'm all for occasional light reading but I bet these books are going to be shallow and idotic even by the standards of the most shallow and idiotic chick lit out there. I'm sure they will be about a girl named "Laurie Conroy" or something and will feature her as she goes shopping and buys expensive things, dates a movie star, goes shopping again and buys more expensive things, gets her nails done, goes shopping... I think she has very boring style.

I guess I'm surprised that she's the one that ended up famous when it was so obvious that's what Kristin was aiming for. But now LC's the one at the Emmys while Kristin is modeling OP clothes for Walmart.

I appreciate her trying to do something differemt, but that doesn't look like her style. She needs to chop some inches off those extensions, but she is a really really pretty girl.
