This make me like Rosie a bit more. From New York Magazine. Lol! You know, I've got to admire that. She was on record as totally adoring CTC but still had the guts to say that. It made me think of Crazy Evil Michael Jackson's "friends." They praised and supported him for years but when it became undeniable that he was, well, a big fuckin' freak, instead of addressing it, they just kind of went all quiet on the subject. So, as much as I don't like Rosie O'Donnell, I admire that she didn't hesitate to call it like she saw it.

That is the understatement of the century. But still, truer words...

I think I remember her mentioning she was sexually abused as a child. I can't remember if it was by her Uncle or Dad.

So it's Star who'll have the problem?
I figured it would be Joy. Wouldn't Rosie be essentially taking her spot as the loud, funny one?
I didn't think either Star or Joy would be happy with Rosie.
I'm not a Rosie fan, nor am I a "View" fan...so I guess life goes on as normal for me. I wasn't watching anyway.

Oh I'm hoping that this is true! I'm not a fan of Rosie's, but the fireworks that will happen between her and Star will be spectacular. What about between Rosie and Bitsy? That will be funny to watch.

I've always kind of like Rosie, just because she's heavy, she's not really pretty, and she's gay - but she OWNs what she is. I never paid much attention to how she's been since the end of her show, except to note that she seemed to be trying to shake off the "Queen of Nice" persona that seemed to be pasted on her.
And I've never ever watched the View. but I'm going to have the DVR set for it daily now, because I know Star and Rosie are going to clash, and you guys are going to be commenting on it. So just to be able to relate, I'm so there with ya.

I think she is gross and pretty much a pig but my 91 year old blind Grandmother is doing cartwheels knowing her beloved Rosie is coming back to daytime talk. Luckily for Grandma she can't see her but she can hear her. And she tells me I am not allowed to say a single bad thing about Rosie. Clearly my Grandma drank the kool-aid.

With Sir Rosie, I don't take her sudden Cruise bashing to be some sort of honest epiphany about the guy or anything. I think she thinks mean things about everyone & is finally showing the world who she really is. I never bought her nice act. I think she's a raging mass of negative ions. I bet she turns on people the way milk curdles left out in summer sunlight.

I much prefer Rosie over Ellen. Rosie may get annoying, but at least she has a personality. And when she's telling stories she can be very entertaining. Ellen on the other hand never has an opinion on anything. And even though she's come out, you sure as hell couldn't tell from watching her show. It's weird because it almost feels like she's still trying to hide it.

I didn't take her Cruise "bashing" as her thinking mean things about him, I saw it as an honest (and popular) opinion about his wacko views.
