It never surprised me that she and Madonna were such good friends. They both seem like such jerks.

I remember the ironic part of her ambushing Tom Selleck was that she was shilling for Walmart at the time, which openly sells guns or something like that.

I remember the ironic part of her ambushing Tom Selleck was that she was shilling for Walmart at the time, which openly sells guns or something like that. Kmart. I worked at Kmart and that's when I started to hate her. Then Tom Selleck pointed that out and she brushed it aside and continued to bully him. What about how Martha deserved special treatment merely for being famous? Ellen may not be quite as funny as Rosie, stand up-wise, but I like her better because she genuinely seems nice and friendly. That's how I feel about Jay Leno-he's not as funny as Letterman, but he's a million times nicer. Oh, and what's the "liars get cancer" thing about?

When she was feuding with her now defunct Rosie Magazine she told on of it's editors whp was batteling cancer that "lairs get cancer". This was due to Rosie not getting her way. I think it was more vile than that. I think she told the lady's kid that liars get cancer. I'm probably remembering it wrong but I remember being outraged.

Rosie O'Donnell taunted a cancer survivor working at her now-defunct magazine by saying people who lie "get sick and they get cancer," the woman testified. O'Donnell said she later apologized. Cindy Spengler, who was head of marketing at "Rosie" magazine, said Wednesday that O'Donnell made the remark after a meeting to discuss the magazine's problems. Spengler said O'Donnell told her that her silence in the meeting was tantamount to lying.
"You know what happens to people who lie," the witness tearfully quoted O'Donnell as saying. "They get sick and they get cancer. If they keep lying, they get it again." I found an article over at CNN. Rosie's a bitch.

I remember seeing Rosie's show the day after she ambushed Selleck. She looked horrible - as if she had been crying all night. Her ratings began a downward spiral after that. She had incredibly high ratings prior to that show, but people tuned out in droves. Remember when it was learned that her kids' bodyguard carried a gun? She was so anti-gun, unless it was for her own benefit. Hypocrite.
Interesting that they never patched things up. I think she has tried to extend an olive branch to Tom, but he simply wants nothing to do with her.

Selleck came on her show to promote whatever movie he had coming out. He had also recently shot an ad and/or did something else in support of the National Rifle Association. But instead of allowing him to talk about the project he was promoting, Rosie basically tore him a new one for supporting the NRA, and essentially ambushed him with it. At one point, Selleck even said, "Look, I'm just here to promote my movie." It was extremely uncomfortable and Rosie was totally out of line. Rosie, much like Jesse Jackson can, has a way of taking issues I believe passionately about and making them so much about her own grandstanding that I want to scream. I am firmly anti-gun/anti-NRA, but her actions with Tom Selleck only made me respect him for handling the situation so professionally, and would actually convince me to listen to his pro-NRA arguments. Not that I'd be swayed, but I'd be more apt to listen to him than Rosie. Or when she and Kellie went to SF to get married. I have done a lot of pro-gay marriage work, in general, and it's something I believe passionately about, but seeing her grandstand about it made me want to throw rotten tomatoes at her. Guh! However, if she'll piss off Star? Oh, I'd chip in to help pay Rosie's salary!

All of Rosie's shenanigans and immaturity really makes me wonder about her partner. How does Kellie put up with that crap? Is she the same way?
But then again, wasn't she working for Nickelodeon when she and Rosie met? I guess she's used to dealing with children (and Rosie is most definitely a child).
