ETA: Bringing things back to the topic of Leah Remini, in the Ortega comments, a poster claims that Remini recently turned down a TV pilot written for her, perhaps because she had her hands full leaving the cult. Probably a good idea. She'll be fine for work in the future, she's one of those sitcom workhorses who always seem to have a show on air no matter how awful or unfunny it is, and if she comes out of this Scientology mess intact she'll have a lot of good will and interest on her side to leverage another pilot.

I would be willing to bet that they cant release most of her secrets. She was in there for so long and most of her circle was probably made up of other Scientologists. So anything she did probably involved other members. I'm sure they would be willing to sacrifice a few low level members, but I think the really good stuff is only good because it involves high profile members.

Good for her! Very smart of her to use this current media interest.
I do think it helps to be able to take such a stand, when her family has decided to back her up and leave the CoS simultaneously, unlike some other members who were unfortunately cut off from their loved ones and found themselves empty handed and without any support. I have no doubt the CoS uses that as leverage to keep them quiet, like with Nicole Kidman.

Ooooh... this could end up very badly for Miscavige.
Unless he can present his wife, alive and well, he could be in trouble.

Ooooh... this could end up very badly for Miscavige. One can hope. But I don't have much. Hope, that is. For some reason, every time I read something that is destined to bring the church to it's clam knees, nothing ever becomes of it. I've followed Operation Clambake for years and every so often they post something that gets much coverage and 'seems' like it could start the ball rolling to shut these shit heels down. Not yet. Apparently they've got a lot of legal firepower and government connections in their pockets. But you go, Leah Remini. Sleep with one eye open, though.

All I can say is I sit in here in open mouthed admiration for Leah's giant balls. You just know Miscavige's head is exploding!
On another note, I find it sad it's taken this long for anyone to do something like this. Is Leah the only one who cares (and hey good for her for caring)? Or is the Leah the first one who cares and has the guts to stand up to CO$?

I'm really, really glad someone is doing something about this. The Co$ does not shy away from abusing and isolating their members, and if one could be saved, then maybe it could open the door to a larger exodus (although from reading the exposé on the church, it seems a lot of them willingly submit themselves to torture, even if not completely in their right minds).

So, did the LAPD actually lay eyes on her? Surely they did just take the $cienos word for it.
ETA: Never mind, I read that they did. I prefer Michael K's theory that it was really John Travolta in a dress.
