How was she allowed to continue to promote the show like this? I can maybe see one of these happening if she shows up, seems loopy but everyone hopes she pulls it together for the interview. After the first one, cancel the rest.
The only thing I can think is that Fox is following the same "There's no such thing as bad press" philosophy that Trump's people follow and they realized that they'd get more attention with Drunk Paula clips floating around on youtube than by canceling the interviews.

I don't think she's drunk. I think she had a bad reaction to painkillers. Why didn't her publicist step in?

Yeah, it was never my impression that Paula was drunk in those YouTube clips.
I definitely agree with the "bad reaction" to painkillers assessment.

It could be she's drunk. It could be she's on pain killers. Or it could be she's just completely and utterly inarticulate at all times.

Is it really a "bad reaction" if you take the whole bottle at once. Isn't that the expected reaction?

I would say I had a bad reaction if I took something at the prescribed amount and it made me ill. She's taking too many pain pills. She's probably drinking on top of it. It's making her high. That's abusing the medication. If it's not that, maybe she has some kind of medical condition. I think she has an addiction problem though. I love Paula. She's the nicest thing on Idol, but I think she's had this problem for awhile now. She needs to find a thingy.
