One of the Robin Williams shows on YouTube has an ending of John Ritter being called up on stage to do improv with Williams. It is hilarious. With all the negative media lately, I could use a good chuckle. Thanks for mentioning that! John Ritter was a gut punch and so was Phil Hartman. I wonder why it seems like the funny guys' deaths are the hardest to swallow? Again, I chalk that up to all the negativity and sadness in life. Happiness, laughter, positivity and joy are what we as humans respond and want to relate to. There is almost a child-like innocence to it all.

Jeff Bridges put some photos from the set of The Fisher King up on his website. He had some nice things to say too.

It seems from those pictures that Robin felt a responsibility to keep up spirits on set. That can be a lot to have to shoulder. I wonder if he took on that burden often.

The Fisher King is the movie I went to see on my first ever date. Both that boy and I really enjoyed it and went on to date for about six months more. Thank you, Robin.

My then-boyfriend, now-husband didn't like The Fisher King. That was our first fight. What nice things Jeff Bridges had to say!

Jeff's a really nice guy by all accounts. And I love that he actually hand writes/draws everything on his website, it's so cool.
The Fisher King is an excellent movie. I saw it a few years ago when I was on a Jeff Bridges binge, and even considering that I found Robin's performance so heartbreaking. I feel like now he must've been tapping into something dark within himself to pull that off so well.

Someone asked upthread what the Emmys will be doing, and it has been announced that Billy Crystal will be speaking. So have more Kleenex ready with your nostalgic memories of Mindy and Fonzie.

myTV station here in Boston is showing Mork & Mindy. Not sure if they've always shown it or it's recent due to Robin Williams' passing. It's amazing how much of this was improvised. I didn't get that when watching it first run. So funny.
