Maybe real estate? Flipping homes can be quite lucrative.

Is she a flipper? I would love to see what her aesthetic is.
And I agree with deeconsistent--I love the mundane details of celebrity lives. Like, planners. Do they use Google calendars? Paper planners? What do soccer players eat when they're off season?
I can't tell if I need a new hobby or if I should just embrace the hobby I have.

I doubt she's a flipper because, for some reason, I assumed that before my last post and when I googled, the only thing that came up was a story about how she sold her house because she thought she was allergic to it, then bought a house that she hated then tried to buy back the allergy house when she realized she was actually allergic to her pillows.

Double post, but it's been more than 3 months. She's been alluding to it for months, but just a few hours ago she tweeted about being raped by a studio exec that she ended up having to work with years ago. She used the hashtag #whyWomenDon'tReport and said that a female DA told her she would never be able to prosecute because McGowan had done onscreen sex scenes. She also said that she was discouraged from pursuing the case because her ex (presumably director Robert Rodriguez) had sold a film to the guy for distribution. The last bit gets me partly because I keep thinking back to the op-ed Gabrielle Union penned last month to discuss her involvement in the film " Birth of a Nation". She recently released a statement that was less diplomatic and I couldn't help but wonder what went into getting Union to pen that editorial. Also, another user posted this article in the Thandie Newton thread, which I'm reposting because her experiences mirror McGowan's quite a bit.

Damn that is beyond fucked up. I think I read here or Ontd that Hollywood truly is the place where sexual harassment and bottom of the barrel types are allowed to rape, harass and run amok. Despicable.

Even before I read all the tweets about her ex selling a film to his company and just read that she had come forward today about it, my mind immediately went to him. If all or at least most of the stories are true about him, I really wish the first person would speak out about it and then others join her as they did with the Cosby and Trump cases. Unfortunately it's probably wishful thinking for now because even though his company isn't doing well financially, he still has too much power for anyone to come forward at this time.
