He does look like he's having fun with the kids, but he also looks like he's being a bit of an ass, trying to "hide" by wearing the hood up and over half his face. Neither of the kids even have hats on, so I can't believe he's simply that cold. All it does is draw attention to him and make him look like the mediawhore he pretends not to be.

Did a cute comedy video with the Game of Thrones cast for Red Nose Day. (I know WTF is that? It's British). The video is cute, but I'm posting because it is baffling how unattractive I find him when he sings and how much better he looks when he's just speaking. It's usually the reverse; if I think someone can really sing or dance, it makes them way more physically appealing to me. I don't even hate Coldplay's music, either. There's a clip near the beginning where he's trying out a song on one of his bandmates and I thought, "Goodness, he looks about as bad as someone can look." Then, there are moments throughout the video when he's just speaking when I find him varying degrees of attractive.

It's officially Comic Relief (an biannual charity telethon) but it's become known as Red Nose Day because that's their symbol. You often see people wearing red plastic noses or with giant red plastic noses on their cars around this time.

I think we did it here in the States for the first time this year. Walgreen's sold the noses, and a bunch of celebs did the special.
Topic, I'm very "meh" on Coldplay and Chris Martin for the most part--but he does have some good songs. I know, I know, but "Shiver" off of their first album is a great song IMO.

I've never thought he was as fug as folks say! Totally Bono wanna-be, yup; but ugly, no. I mean, Rush Limbaugh is oooooogly. This guy just seems normal. I like precisely one Coldplay song. That's all, carry on.

I watch that video and think that he's good looking and has a good sense of humor, but then I remember that:
a) He was married to Goop for several years b) I've seen him confronting paparazzi and sounding like an infantile twat c) He has done the above while wearing ridiculous scarves
He'll never be able to overcome all of that for me.

Haha, tszuj, I was just being sort of flippant about it because- like kateln said- it was really big among Americans this year, especially on social media, and it seemed to come out of nowhere. I'm happy it did, though. It's for a great cause.

No way, I had no idea it was in the US now! That's quite cool. It's been around here since I was a baby.

I kept seeing references to Red Nose Day on my PayPal account, of all places, and was confused, because I only knew of it as a British thing (and it has already been done recently). Well, cool.
I still think Martin is a pretentious twat, but suspect he has a slightly better sense of humor than his ex.
