The best part of the bit with his daughter was that her title was "Adorable 8-year-old girl."

I loved his "Ta-Daa!" vote! "I didn't think anybody could miscount a vote so flamboyent."

Shouldn't the title of this thread be Ted Hitler? Stephen Colbert is totally my TV husband. He's funny, he's a nerd (LOTR!), and he's quite fetching. Also, since he's a church-going Catholic, he'd totally please my mother. For that clip with his daughter, you can download a wav file of it here. (There'll be three links to click for download. If one doesn't work, just try another one.) Actually, that's not daughter, that adorable little girl is "Big Oil". Rewatching that, I feel really bummed for Inder Parmar. Aww... all the Colbert kids are redheads. They take after their mother.

I lurve him and so does my dad, which is a rare feat since we have very different ideas of what is funny. His x-mas segments were hilarious and I love "the word."

If anyone is interested, Stephen recently did an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle's TV critic, Tim Goodman, and the interview is posted in four parts. He talks about the show, his career and his upbringing. He also talks about the death of his father and two brothers in a plane crash, and I found that brief part to be very affecting.
