I don't know why someone hasn't tracked down that blinded Vietnamese man and informed him that the pissant piece of shit who blinded him is now known as Mark Wahlberg and is living the high life with his millions of dollars. I know Douchie Mark says he has "certainly paid for his mistakes", but I betcha he hasn't paid the way he should have - with cold hard cash to support the man who is most certainly at least partially disabled for life because of him.

That's probably why he's never sought him out for forgiveness... he knows there's a payout at the end of that conversation.

I've always assumed he did pay restitution/hush money, as far back as the Funky Bunch days. There's no proof of it but the victim's years of silence says as much to me.

I don't think so, mainly because Mark Wahlberg said in an interview from 2006 that the right thing to do would be to find the man and make amends, but that he hasn't done so. That to me implies that he hasn't made any sort of restitution at all.

Of course, I suppose he could have gone and found the man since then, but somehow I doubt it.

It could be a semantic thing: I have the idea that people use "amends" to mean negotiate a truce or apologize, but without actually having to really do anything. Restitution would mean settlement, but who knows, really. If he did and isn't discussing it, he's less of a turd, but still a turd. But if he didn't, then he remains a turd of intergalactic proportions.
