Just read an interesting NYT interview with her...I never thought I'd say this, but now I am interested in reading her memoir. She sounds like a very decent person and definitely smarter than her celebrity persona.

I'm interested in reading her memoir. But I will not buy it at a bookstore. I learned my lesson the hard way. I went to Barnes & Noble to get Coreyography, Corey Feldman's memoir. They hadn't unboxed it yet. A price check had to be done and it basically ended with several B & N clerks having knowledge of my Coreography purchase. The question of the price check and entering it in the system went from the front of the store to the back of the store. It was like one of those scenes in a movie when a character is embarrassed to buy tampons or condoms and of course the inevitable price check scene happens.

I dealt with it by going in the next week like nothing had happened and holding my head up high. It was pure false bravado.

I think I'll wait a few months and order this one from Amazon.

This video just came up on my youtube page. She's talking about how she was drunk on Ellen a couple of years ago...and she still sounds totally drunk to me? The whole interview sounds slurred. She didn't used to sound like that. She's got a certain message for this book tour that has been planned for some time, but I'm not sure she's as sober as she's saying.

Yeah, the interview touched briefly on that....that incident was apparently the impetus for a staged intervention by her friends/manager.
Who knows if she is totally sober or not, but sounds like it was a definite wake up call.
Kaleidoscope Eyes, I can so imagine the embarrassment secondhand, I'm cringing on your behalf. Agree, for certain books Amazon is the way to go. Or the library, now that there is such a thing as self checkout, lol.

As if the embarrassment of buying Coreyography isn't enough on its own. It was obvious I was there because I just had to get it on the day it was released. I can't believe I'm typing this out loud.

I didn't realize until recently that Jessica has 3 children. I thought she only had 2. Somehow a third one escaped my notice. I think it was the middle one.

She does seem like she's on something, and not a caffeine high from her morning Starbucks. Also, did she always talk with her lower lip like that? It's really distracting.

Hopefully her publicly admitting her problem will help her get better, but I hope it doesn't put too much pressure on her. She does seem like a nice person and I wish her the best.

Has Ashlee weighed in at all? I wonder if she used to drink with her sister or tried to get her some help somehow.

Maybe her lips are paralyzed from botox or fillers and that's why she's still slurring? I hope she wasn't abusing substances when she was pregnant. I wish her sobriety, but she's still on my list of celebs I have an irrational dislike for.

She wouldn't be the first celebrity to do the media rounds discussing her sobriety journey while in the midst of a relapse.
