The prospect of Joe blowing through the entire family fortune placing ads for one of her straight-to-DVD movies on the Super Bowl telecast is a delicious one. It might even redeem my disgust at being forced to actually root for Dallas for the first time in my life against the Patriots.

Eh, I admit I'm cynical but I think this "relationship" with Romo is just for publicity.

I doubt it. Tony Romo has nothing to gain from a relationship with Jessica Simpson.

Tony may not but Jessica sure does. That is the only thing keeping her in the tabloids. And as usual all reports of it are coming from HER side. Just like she did with Mayer.

For some strange reason?!? She's from Richardson, and he's a Cowboy! That is worth it's weight in diamonds in Dallas! I hope she does marry him and just sits pretty and is relegated to the part of the tabloids where the celebrities I barely know show their houses. OT - I just gotta ask...what part of Texas are you from? That's one thing I'm glad I'm not exposed to any longer (since I moved out of Texas), the whole "Cowboys' are gods" BS. I remember one news broadcast before I left the state with the lead story that some star Cowboy player's wife was filing for a freaking divorce. THAT was the leading news story on a major broadcasting station in Dallas. Insanity. Of course, now that I live in central Kentucky, I get to hear ALL about the UK basketball team. I can't win for losing.

I am living in Houston and Austin right now, but born and raised in Houston. We hate the Cowboys here maybe more than Dallas loves them!
And yep, football reigns supreme here in Texas. That stereotype is true.
ETA: My college roomate was good friends with Jessica up until right before she got Newlyweds, so that's how I knew the Richardson stuff. The only gossip I really have about her though is that she was very religious, and got huge boobs in 8th grade that she covered up with big sweatshirts. Oh, and all of the girls had crushes on Pa Simpson back then, and my roommate said that Jessica had a younger sister who was an even better singer and dancer than Jess. Oh, how the times change!

OT to mariposala: I was curious because I was born and raised in the 'burbs of Dallas (Richardson, Garland, Plano, etc.) and you spoke as if you were from there so I was going to say, "Howdy neighbor!" I envy you living in Austin. Houston? Not so much.
