I thought there was a thread for her but it seems to have dropped off the radar.

On the cover of December's Vogue.

Penelope tells the December issue of Vogue magazine: “My mother always tried to not to laugh in front of me. I was the most difficult. Stubborn, very rebellious. I didn’t want to be told what to do. I still do the kicking once in a while.”

She and Javier Bardem are supposedly a huge item now and she was also voted the 50 Most Frigid by the website, Film Threat, with a mention of Clambo as a reason why she made the list.

I like her a lot in Spanish-speaking movies, but her American accent is so distracting and takes away a lot from her performance. She was great in Don't Move.

I go back and forth on her looks. Some times she looks like a frog especially with her hair tied in the back, but if she lets it loose she can look very pretty.


Oh, she and Javier make a hot couple and for once she doesn't look like a beard to me. Javier is hot.

I can understand the benefit of bearding for Tom Cruise (or at least for Cruise-pre-Katie-Holmes) but I never understood why she bearded for Matthew McConaughey (however you spell it). She got a boost from Cruise but what kind of boost could Matthew offer?

Anyway, I never thought Orlando might be gay until he was linked to her.

I saw her at the Toronto airport last week and she was super cute. Looked exactly the way she does in real life-- no "celebrity distortion" effect. Plus she had on one of those adorable stocking caps that makes you want to hug people.

I was indifferent to her before and now I'm kind of crushing.

I agree. I thought she was great in Volver, and absolutely luminous in that movie.

I don't care for most of her english-speaking roles, with the exception of the craptastic Woman on Top (a guilty pleasure of mine).

I've loved her since Vanilla Sky, she is just so gorgeous and adorable in that movie. I have such a girlcrush on her.

She was fabulous in Open Your Eyes. I could finally see the hype about her when I saw the movie. In the American version ("Vanilla Sky"), not so much. Moreso for the line: "I'll see you again in another life...when we are both cats!"

She reminds of a porcelain doll sometimes.

I think she's got one of the nicest figures in Hollywood today, and has the loveliest smile. I was also pretty impressed with her in Bolber, sorry, Volver.

But I have to say that her English accent is shocking considering how long she's been working in the States.

Whenever her damn L'Oreal hair commercials come on, my husband is absolutely HI-larious. "Say What?? Huh? Can you repeat that? 'Scuse me? Pardon??"
