I just got back from seeing it. And it was awesome. Had a couple of sad moments that had me teary eyed but everyone gave a great performance. I'd recommend it.

Even Sofia "talentless" Vergara? She was Tyrese's girlfriend in the movie, by the way.

The Four Brothers hosted a day on BET last weekend and I caught the tail end to see Marky Mark speak and carry on as though he were the most down brother from the hoodiest hood. Ugh, I cannot stand him and his presence in a film means I will avoid it.

You know what though? Mark was great in this movie. He had a lot of funny lines and Garrett Hedlund who played Jack? Ugh I am now in love. Sofia? Eh...she was okay. Not awful.

Isn't Garrett Hedlund Patrocleus(sp?) in Troy? I take it he was not annoying like he was in Troy, constantly whining.

Yeah that was him in Troy. He was also in Friday Night Lights.

I just rented this movie and i was so impressed. Ever since I was exposed to Good Vibrations as a wee one, I avoided Marky Mark and his Funky Bunch, but Tyreese's yumminess, pulled me in and it was surprisingly good. and funny.

This was a film I expected to hate but I loved it. It was a very good mixture of humor, violence, pathos and love (not quite the right word... brotherhood?). It was by no means a great film but it is a far better than decent rental. I would recommend it without hesitation.
I have to admit that I love Marky Mark, though. He rules. Sigh. I suck.

I think I wrote about this inthe Worst Film Ever thread? I actually turned it off about an hour into it.

Yes the film is not briliant but for what it is I would say it is surprisingly good. I almost loved it for about two days. Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. That name? It still makes me laugh. Everytime I see Mark Wahlberg, serious actor, all it takes for me to crack up is the thought of Marky Marky and his Funky Bunch and The Good Vibrations.
