Let me be the first in the topic to spoil the fun: I hated this movie. I read the book first, and actually sort of liked it, but on film I was reminded it's a book about three depressed women, blech.

I liked it, but I'm a literature nerd. I agree that Julianne's performance was the best, but Nicole really surprised me (and it wasn't just the nose). Her whole voice and demeanor were different. She really sold the performance, IMHO.

Julianne owned this film, to me. I didn't like NK's performance much, but I didn't like Meryl's either, and that's strange for me.

I agree about JM. I kept wishing the movie would return to her. NK was bleh, the nose was so obviously fake it was distracting. Virginia Woolf had a nose but it wasn't that crazy looking. IMHO VW was quite pretty.

Yeah, VW was a lot prettier than NK's version. I mean, NK's nose was the size of a hand or something. It was so ridiculous, I couldn't stop focusing on it.

I liked this movie and I did enjoy the book but I must say that the actual book Mrs. Dalloway bores me to tears and I can't figure out why two women were so in love with it.
