Brilliant movie! I totally loved it! It was hysterical and I am totally Val Kilmer's and Robert Downey, Jr's bitch.

Really? I wasn't too thrilled with it. It didn't suck completely, but I forced myself to finish watching it.
I loved Robert Downey, Jr and Val Kilmer, and was excited to see it. I was pretty disappointed.

I adored this movie. I thought it was one of the best of last year and a shame that not enough people saw it. I thought the plot was tight, the writing witty and the acting great and charming. I just loved it and I tend to pimp it out to anyone who will listen.

Yeah, I saw it on Sunday and thought it was awesome. I've already recommended it to three different people who watched it last night and loved it as well.
I thought that the girl from Father of the Bride was the main girl for the first half of it or so. Bridget Moynahan is pretty.

Hilarious at points, but a little uneven, I thought. I was a little annoyed with RDJ's tongue-in-cheek narration at times, but I was pleasantly surprised that Val Kilmer didn't come across as the slimy, bloated dickwad he's become in real life. Way to clean up, Ice.

Yeah, but listen to his commentary on DVD. Just sayin'.
I enjoyed the movie, too, once I got over the whole Lethal Weapon connection. The dialogue was smart and crackling.

Whose commentary? Val Kilmer's? Dish please. I already returned it to Netflix.

I think I've mentioned this in the "What Did You Rent Last Night" thread, but you must watch the outtakes. Kilmer makes fun of Colin Farrell, and it was quite amusing.
I know the movie isn't perfect, but I really really liked it. I could watch it again, and there are very few movies I can do that with. It also made me want to be friends with RDJ and VK.
Oh, I also loved the whole 'Who taught you grammar?" and "Stop multiplying!" exchanges.

I picked up a supercilious tone in Kilmer's comments, like that of someone who's instinctive disdain for unextraordinary people (which I kind of share) was always indulged and never quite put in check. He's quite smart, undeniably talented but sheltered, I think, from a regular life, so his commentary was filled with in-jokes that even RDJ and the director couldn't pick up all the time.
I'm not saying he is a slimy, bloated dickwad (still), just that the commentary doesn't obliterate that possibility (for me).

Yay! I watched this movie recently and loved it. My favorite part was probably the "look up idiot in the dictionary" exchange. Val Kilmer cracked me up, man. And my love for Robert Downey Jr. knows no bounds anyway.
