I mean it is a Global initiative and the nominees & winners will be spread out all over the world so by default even limiting it to London means there will be *some* travel involved.
William flew commercial to NYC, he didn’t fly private. I mean I’m all for being sustainable and trying to be environmentally friendly with your actions, when possible, which is why I didn’t have an issue with him not going to Australia for a 90 minute soccer match but really? A commercial flight to put the spotlight on worthy climate initiatives is hardly going to end the planet.

Okay, he's rather adorable. If he's other than a nice guy in private (Harry's 'necklace' doesn't count because who wouldn't want to slap that guy??) he's really good at hiding it. Must chap Haz' blue todger that William got Diana's looks. todger, NOT tiger, autocorrect We already know it does, since he took a swipe about it (maybe in his book?) by saying something like Wills was proud of his resemblance to their mother, but it was fading as Wills baldness took over. My wording is not meant to be exact, but it was SOOOO petty and nasty it seemed obvious to me that Harry haaaaaates that fact.

If the nominees and winners were invited to travel to the awards, they weren’t in Boston, i cant recall if they were in London I’d see some merit in it moving about but I just don’t if it’s William and a glitzy show in a new city, it will be interesting if even the winners are brought to Singapore. If the nominees and winners are zoomed in then why should it be anywhere but the same place year after year. Lucky for us, we don't have to do hypotheticals and suppositions and can just do a quick google to figure this stuff out. William came to NYC for an Earthshot innovation summit co-hosted by Earthshot and the Bloomberg foundation (NYC based). Last year's finalists and this year's - a very global bunch - were in attendance for mentoring and development of their efforts. The speaker/mentor list was also a global bunch but pretty-American heavy (can be seen here: www.bloomberg.org/earthshot-prize-innovation-summit/ ). Hence, some amount of travel would be required to get this global group together in one place, but given that the co-hosting organization was NY based and many of the speakers were North American, this was probably the lesser of the many options.

Then call it Earthshot meeting or convention. Earthshot Prize to me I would assume the winner of said prize wouldn’t be an afterthought as it seemed to be last year. Out of everyone travelling to whichever city it’s being held in surely at the very least potential winners would be invited to attend. I still think it’s a contradiction that the main event moved from city to city. The nominees and winners are invited to attend; picture of the 2022 finalists and winners with William and Bloomberg at the Innovation summit in NYC here

It's really no different from Invictus taking place in a different country every year, is it?
