There doesn't seem to be any preview of what Katie says. If she said anything damning or interesting, I would think ABC would promote that. I don't know what she can say legally. Maybe just an update on how Suri is doing after leaving the church? Just stating that she's doing well now as a way of implying that she's better off? Yeah, I'm pretty positive that part of the divorce agreement with Tom was that she would basically get whatever she wants and in return she keeps her mouth shut. It will probably be a very generic statement that doesn't say much of anything. I can't see her dumping on Leah and defending the CoS, and I can't see Katie attacking the church, either. The only way she'll say something non-neutral is if she got a call from Tom's people demanding that she tell 20/20 that their love was real. Leah apparently says in the interview that Tom was forcibly kissing Katie, so I could see Tom freaking out and making sure Katie supports the narrative that they were super in love at the time and he was forcing nothing on her. Also - I just read that Leah was fined because she joked that Tom and Katie should "Get a room", what with all the forcible kissing. Seriously? But I guess this is inline for Tom and Miscaviage - you do NOT joke about them. They are demi-gods here on earth, after all. I am looking forward to Leah spilling the T. She's not in the habit of holding back.

I'm going to be glued to the TV for this. I seriously doubt that Katie can say anything, either. But I'm sure curious of what it'll entail.
Of course 20/20 can make the viewers all giddy with Tom-hating glee giving the impression that she'll reveal something, but I still wonder why they'd advertise it if it wasn't something at least a little bit good?

I opened that article and read the whole thing just to read the line about The Netherlands being religious bigots and have a laugh. I knew it would be in there.

Katie's publicist all but said, "Katie is in no way violating the confidentiality terms of her divorce agreement with this statement!"
I know it sounds like a nothing statement, but I actually think it says something. If Katie had just said "no comment" it would sound like she doesn't have time for that bitch Leah Remini and good riddance. I think Katie is acknowledging in the only way she is able that bad stuff happened ("in the past") and that she isn't anti-Leah now. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but obviously Katie took the time to come up with that statement with her publicist and her lawyer(s) when she could have said nothing.

I could be eager to read between the lines too, but it isn't just "I'm sorry she got upset" but "I'm sorry I upset her" - which is a subtle difference. And the CoS is totally anti-Leah - hilariously sending ABC that packet of "Leah is the worst!" materials - and she clearly wasn't jumping on the "dump on the SP" bandwagon. It really did feel like the best way to maybe-sorta say something without saying anything Tom's lawyers could latch onto.

You all give Kool-Aid Katie way more credit than me.
