She isn't ugly, but I do not understand the appeal of Kate Upton's body. She has a super long, boxy torso. And I really wish she'd wear bikinis in her size and stop shopping at GAP Kids.

Amen to that. Basic except her boobs. She has no curves, she is carrot shaped at best. Yet I keep reading how curvy she is. She's not as thin as regular models, but she's still shapeless.

We get the swimsuit issue, and last year I kept saying to my mom "there are about a half-dozen girls in this issue who would have looked better on the cover than Kate Upton" and I'm sure it will be the same thing this year. Not that she's ugly, at all, but she's not good looking to the point you stop and go "wow, who is this," which to me is the point of the swimsuit issue cover-the year Brooklyn Decker was on it I stopped pretty much everytime I saw it at work (and I work in retail, so I saw it on every lunch/break as I checked out) to think "wow, she looks amazing".

Yes, she is nothing special. Wasn't she discovered on YouTube or something? I get why she's a swimsuit model although I agree about her shape. But what I really don't understand is why Vogue and Anna Wintour are trying to make her an editorial and runway model. Not going to happen.

Probably because she's the "acceptable" kind of curvy for them, boobs and nothing else. I havent seen whether she has an ass or not, but she is straight up and down below the waist.

I recently finished watching Homeland Season 2 and while he's a fantastic actor, I find Damian Lewis pretty fug. His tiny mouth is jacked up and he has these weird mouth lines that are so pronounced. It's all I can stare at when he's on screen!

Damian Lewis looks like a Creamsicle. I could barely tolerate him in "Band of Brothers" and I've never watched "Homeland" because of him and his sour lemon mouth. Ick.

Yeah, I tried hard to see teh sex in Lewis but can not. Kevin McKidd is a much sexier ginger.

I think Kate Upton has a cute face, but she looks a hell of a lot older than 20. I agree about her shape though, she is totally boy shaped but with big boobs. I get that women come in all shapes and sizes but it used to be that swimsuit models had to have actual curves. As a side note, I hate that the word curvy is now used to describe any woman who is not smaller than a six or has big boobs. And in addition, is frequently used to describe women who are fat or overweight. Kate Upton is not curvy. Neither is Adele, Giselle, Angelina Jolie, or Gabourey Sidibe. All different body types, none of them curvy. Halle Berry, crazy as she is, is curvy. Ditto for Bar Rafaeli.

Also, I think it's funny that Brooklyn Decker was mentioned. I don't get her appeal at all.
