I know hes not a celeb anywhere else, but former New Zealand Prime Minister David Lange's not far from death, Id guess...hes just had a leg amputated and says hes only staying alive because hes contractually obligated to promte his memoirs that come out soon.

Lange was the Prime Minister that caused a wee bit of a ruckus with his 'No Nukes in NZ waters' stance in the late 80's, that made New Zealand Nuclear Free.
