Let's make it a foursome on Couric. She's graduated from "perky" to plain annoying. I actually look forward to the weekend "Today" show so I can enjoy the "backup crew".

Well, i'll call Mary-Kate Olsen...she can't possibly live past 21 and I feel it's 50/50 whether she'll see 19.

My apologies, MsMisery, I didn't know you had chosen him on the other site. Please, I insist, he's all yours. My post-mortem slab is full as it is.

I didn't have the heart to name her in the same post as Couric, but I fear my beloved Joan Didion may be in ill health, and I had her in the original Death Pool so I might as well claim her again.

I feel slightly morbid, but I call Blake Edwards - and, oh, Paris Hilton. Cause you know she can't stand to not be the center of attention. As her stunts get more and more outrageous each time, one is bound to backfire, right?

I would have thought Jimmy Carter would be a good but sad choice until I saw him today on Paula's Home Cooking, man, if the appetite that man has now is any indication of his appetite in his youth...
Can I call Jean Claude Van Damme and Steven Seagal just because I want it to be true? Letting those two hop off the planet might make it ok for Britney to live.

Art Linkletter. I haven't seen him in years, but I think he's still alive? Perhaps not for much longer, though.
He's still alive? Why is it that reactionary assholes live to such ripe old ages, and (relatively) cool people die young? Didn't Buddy Ebsen live to be like 120, or something like that? Art must be at least that old...jeez.

Yeah, I thought he looked pretty good at the Democratic Convention last summer, so, I don't think he'll be leaving us for a while yet.

Yep, Linkletter is still alive. Funny, I literally hadn't seen him in forever and had to look it up to find out that he was indeed still kicking. No sooner had I posted it than I found a news item mentioning that his ninetysomething self had shown up for an event. Geezers do the darndest things.
Hmm...would you take a semi-obscure singer in her 60s? Apparently Mary Travers (of Peter, Paul & Mary) has had a relapse of her cancer and the band has cancelled concerts through May. Not looking too good for her. I don't want to call the lady who sang "Puff the Magic Dragon" so she's a free agent.
No! Wait! Semi-obscure singer in their 50s? How 'bout that cowboy singer, Chris LeDoux? He just died at 56; I think of cancer as well. There's your three.

I still have a feeling that Rod Stewart is going to bite the dust soon.
