Yikes. No wonder Wy has food/diet issues. I've always had the feeling that Naomi was a nightmare as a mother, and Wolver, you gave me significant ammo towards my position.
MaryWG, the husband of one of my acting teachers is a cameraman for Jerry's show, and says Jerry A) throws lovely and wonderful holiday parties for his staff, B) gives very thoughtful gifts, and C) is very generous and nice to those whom a lot of star-types consider "underlings".
I have a lot of star-sightings, so I'll dole them out a bit at a time (hee). A few years ago, I saw Morgan Fairchild at LAX. She is teeny, and looks exactly like she does on TV. She never has to worry about drowning, however, as she could use her ginormous (on her) fake boobies as flotation devices.

Zivvie the mother seemed pretty vacant - not a lot of neurons firing, which would be a nightmare in itself!

Ooh, oooh Frances!*waves hand frantically* Can you tell how your dad met Tom Brady? Please?! Yes, I am a desperate fangirl in case if you were wondering.

Aw, sure, Coffeecakes! They've met several times and my dad thinks he is just the greatest person. Totally nice, humble, and funny. My dad's company is a Pats sponsor, so he goes to some dinners and charity events each year with the team. At every one of these things, he ends up talking to Tom Brady about U of M football (they both went there).

Hey everybody,
I need help with a celeb encounter. I saw this guy in, of all places, the Brooklyn Public Library yesterday (Grand Army Plaza). As far as I know he's Af Am and possibly Hispanic. He usually plays hard-boiled, mean detectives or hoods on television (I think he might've been on a CBS drama recently). He's thin, kinda tall (not as tall in real life though). He has a mole on his face. Rarely smiles. Not much to go on, I know.
Anyway, the sighting itself was just as quirky. I see this boy who stepped out of the pages of a camping catalog--maybe 10 or 11 year old caucasian boy, tousled curly brown hair, cute as can be in a quilted vest, camo or rugged kind of pants, hiking boots, etc. and ambling around with a basket of books. Up pops Mr. No-Nonsense Detective Slash Drug Dealer who says in his trademark from tv "I'll Cut You" tone of voice "Hey, you got everything you need?" and runs his hand through the boy's hair. It was so cute and touching and totally disarmed me. I bet he and his family live in Prospect Heights or Park Slope. I'd love to have a name to go with all this! ;D

Nicky Hilton was at the Macy's in downtown Boston Friday to promote her new line of handbags. The announcer tried to get the (small) crowd excited, but the response to "let's hear it for Nicky Hilton!" wasn't that enthusiastic. She said a few words, but for someone who was a "special correspondent" for E! she is a terrible public speaker.

Always love this thread - here and at the Other Place. Strangely, I haven't yet been surprised either by the asshattishness of some celebrities and the coolness of others.
Me? I got nothin'. Apart from, many years ago, seeing the diminutive Paula Abdul and the almost-equally-diminutive Emilio Estevez shopping in a Vancouver mall.
At the opposite end of the cool scale - and, sadly, I was too young (4 yrs old) to appreciate it, I was with my grandmother when she got Johnny Cash's autograph at a show in the late 1970s. He seemed very nice and chatted to everyone. He also called me "little princess", which endeared him to me even though I had no real idea who he was.
Then there was mr. underjoyed, who was witness to an inebriated and slightly puffy Debbie Harry passing out on stage on Hallowe'en at a club in NY (1999 or 2000). As a teen, mr. underjoyed had had an enormous crush on her, so I get the sense this was an especially depressing sight for him. He kind of mists up when he talks about it.#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys

On behalf of my English 102 professor, i'll share her story that she told us yesterday.
She said that a while back, she and a friend were at the Hard Rock Hotel here in Las Vegas just playing blackjack when all of a sudden.....Kiefer Sutherland (!!!!!!) and a friend he was with sat down with them. My teacher said she couldn't even look at him because she was so nervous, but she said he initiated conversation with her. He even gave her money to gamble with when she lost her all her chips. The thing that made me laugh was when she said he kept calling her "Farmer Lisa" all night because she had on overalls (in a nice way, not a mocking way).
I will forever be jealous of her! *le sigh*
And even though I didn't talk to her, I saw Jennifer Garner upclose at the Elektra premiere at the Palms last year. She is obscenely gorgeous in person and nice! She came over to the crowd and was signing things and only left when her handler or whatever pulled her arm and told her to come on.

I met David Duchovny over the weekend at a screening of a movie he wrote and directed, in Los Angeles. Extremely nice guy.

Back in the mid-80s, my dad was showing his cousins around NYC and when they got to Rockefeller Center they saw Hulk Hogan and Mr T getting out of a limo, probably to make some TV appearance.
If anyone remembers the ill-fated boy band Dream Street from a few years ago, one of the guys went to my high school (he was a senior, I was a freshman). And, uh, I talked to him once.
