His punishment should have been his show wearing out it's welcome (like every other non-Honey Boo Boo "family" reality show) and leaving he and his kinfolk wondering what happened. When only gun shows and local used car lots are the only people calling, that'll be the real punishment.
Also, good for Brian Boitano. He's always handled questions about his personal life with the utmost class and this is no different.

Did anyone notice all the people claiming Suck Dynasty guy is oppressed and having his First Amendment rights violated didn't say a thing when Alec Baldwin lost HIS show for anti-gay remarks? One of the shitheads on Fox News was all, "I didn't want Alec Baldwin to lose his job either". Yeah, I didn't see any press releases in Alec Baldwin's defense coming from all the people who are defending the DD guy. But Alec Baldwin didn't deserve defending either - I'm totally glad he lost his job. "Everybody knows I'm a liberal" is not a defense for making gay slurs (repeatedly!).

If they lose the show, they'll simply go on as before, making crazy amounts of money off the duck call business. They weren't poor before A&E and they won't go begging after. As much as I'd love a justice anvil to fall on them, this will barely put a hitch in their strides.

So churches really invite Phil to come and speak? Stepping away for a moment from his views on homosexuality, I found his terminology and wording to be very crude - and very unnecessarily graphic. I could not imagine my church inviting that kind of rhetoric inside.
And I wonder what his mixed-race grandson thinks about his views on black people before the Civil Rights movement.

In Amarillo, TX, a large church recently paid a $100,000 appearance fee to Phil. Me, too.

Ehh, the kid will probably grow up thinking Grandpa is as racist as most grandparents. Even having black grandparents is no guarantee that a black child is going to be sheltered from ignorant crap about being "too dark" or having "bad hair". I've read dumbasses online saying that the boy should be taken from his parents and wow, can you imagine your parenting being judged by how stupid your parents are? Many of us would never be allowed to have kids if that was the case.

Oh, wow, I didn't think she'd ever come out, or at least not until she'd retired.

She's been very open about her recent struggles yet there was still this veil over a significant part of her life so I'm glad she's made it official. On a personal note, I like it when public figures that my family members admire come out as they are still pretty entrenched in religion-based intolerance towards people who are gay.
