All that excercising and eating right must have been making Nicole really, really tired:

I liked Tatum way back when she did International Velvet (yes, I heart horses), but she always seemed a bit batshit in her personal life.

I'm not sure what to think of Anna Nicole's weight loss. I'm torn between actual drugs (not that TrimSpa krap) or that gastric surgery. I'm amazed that someone, for whom drawing in and expelling oxygen is hard work, is able to keep the weight off.

Yeah, Tatum makes me a little sad. She's about my age, so I've been following her career since we were both little kids. She was great as a child actor, and can be surprisingly effective even now...if she's lucid, that is. She has good timing, a distinctive voice, and a certain raw edginess that can really work, depending on the role. She was surprisingly good in that "Carrie's shoes are stolen" episode of Sex & the City as the photographer frenemy...a kind of tightly-wound intensity that gave the impression of a lot going on under the surface. It's a little bit like the quality Diane Lane has. Difference between them is that Tatum's spent more of her energies on substance abuse than on her craft since she was a teenager, which is why you rarely see her cast in anything, and Lane has had a pretty sweet little career renaissance after she took time off to raise her daughter. O'Neal must be a nightmare to insure or have bonded; I'm sure studios are wary of the history of addiction and multiple rehabs.

There are actors who have well documented substance abuse issues who nonetheless have a decent rep for on-set professionalism and for turning in a solid performance even when in the grips of personal issues or an erratic personal life--Robert Downey, Jr. springs to mind, and producers will still take a chance with him--but alas, Tatum's not one of those actors.

Anna Nicole is a freakin' festival of substance abuse...I'm sure coke is in the mix, probably meth, definitely some opiates (OxyContin?), washed down with whatever alcoholic beverage she can get her hands on. The TrimSpa is just the icing on the cake, and probably one of many things that causes her to have no appetite. Girl is a trainwreck. "Laaaaaaaahhkk mah baaaaaaaaahhhdeeee?" Well, before you started resembling a silicon-riddled toxic waste dump, perhaps. She's fast approaching bobble-head territory in terms of her physicality, and her manner does nothing to discourage that comparison. Her poor kid. Not enough therapy in the world.

Paula denies drug use.. It must suck to have a neuropathic disorder, but I find it hard to believe she isn't popping pills. I mean, she is a celebrity after all!

I don't know -- self-delusion can be some pretty powerful stuff. I actually think TC is too much of a control freak to take drugs.

I saw a picture of the Olsen twins at Cannes in the "Celebrity Fashion" thread and gasped in horror at Mary-Kate. Seriously, someone get that kid to rehab immediately. And then to an eating-disorder clinic.

I'm with you raqs. I liked Tom in his earlier days, but now he's gone batshit. I feel sorry for his new young girlfriend - it makes me hope the relationship is fake.

I feel sorry for her kids then. I mean a coked up most of the time mom cannot be fun.
