Another Famous House for Sale. And this time, it's The Brady Bunch, literally! They redid the house to make it look like the TV Show, and now it can be ours for a mere 5.5 Million DollarsI visited the house about 2 years ago. It had a fake police car in front of it, but looks the same. You can't see the backyard because of shrubbery, but it is in the middle of a suburban block of homes. The hill behind it as seen on the show is Universal Studios Hollywood, and the 101 is nearby too. |

It's kitschy and would be fun to visit, but I couldn't imagine living in that time warp.

I would buy it IMMEDIATELY, and ask Eve Plumb to help decorate it. She was the best thing about that construction show!

I like that the article refers to the style as "vaguely Neo-Palladian". I would call it "McMansion Mashup". But it does suit the two of them. They are VERY double-height foyer/beige gym people. |
