How could Zoe Saldana and Gabby Sibide NOT be in that H-wood issue? Saldana has to be one of the hottest actresses working at the moment (and not just hawt!) and Gabby has been getting HUGE accolades for her role. That's not an oversight, that's freaking embarrassing.

Keri Russell made the cover after a two minute scene in M:I: III, FFS. I think this lack of publicity really hurts black actors because they don't get to become a 'name' that the public can follow. If Zoe Saldana was white and had just starred in the biggest movie of all time, she would be everywhere on the newstands, just like Megan Fox was this summer. So far, all she's got is 2 covers and she had to share them both. Whereas Jessica Biel (who's starred in NOTHING) is on the front of Vogue.

Zoe was on the 2008 VF Hollywood Issue cover, while 2009's usual spread was pre-empted for President Obama. I had assumed they didn't repeat actresses, but ScarJo was on 2005's and then on the weird Tom Ford naked one in 2006... and on 2004's. Hmm... Rosario Dawson. Naomi Watts, Jennifer Connelly, and Kirsten Dunst have each been on twice since '02.

I made the mistake of scrolling through all the "Hollywood" covers, and man, Annie Leibovitz is a bad photographer. Those covers are just bad.

There's one actress on that cover whose face I don't recognize AT ALL.

There's one actress on that cover whose face I don't recognize AT ALL. I had three: Sarah Wynter, Vinessa Shaw, and Alison Elliott. Who are these people?

Whoa, Vinessa Shaw? I know who she is, but only because she was in Hocus Pocus, one of my favorite childhood movies. I haven't seen her in anything this decade except that Hills Have Eyes remake. ETA: Oh, never mind, that cover's from 1999.
