It's harder to get hold of a gun over here. Tbh, I had no idea crossbows were even legal.

We mentioned earlier suspect Kyle Clifford was the former boyfriend of one of the daughters in the Hunt family.

The BBC now understands that was Louise Hunt.

We are awaiting an update from the police as to what his current condition is, but know he remains in hospital having been found with injuries yesterday.

I remember here in Canada a few years ago, a man killed his ex with a crossbow. He stalked her. So dreadful.

I wonder if Taylor Swift will respond. I'm not a fan, but hopefully she can help after such a terrible tragedy.

While it's possible to kill someone with a knife throw, the odds are very, very low, and you have to have spent a LONG time training. A lucky throw seems highly unlikely. Also, if the knife goes in, you're not going to start bleeding out, because it's blocking the wound. If you pull it out, yes, which is why they tell you not to remove an impaled object.

Yeah, I doubt her knife-throwing skills are sniper level. I wonder if the charge will be less severe if her defense mentions the possibility of his abuse towards her.

In (slightly lighter) news, I just followed up on a terrific podcast, Swindled. The newest episode is about the New England Compounding Center, which had a fatal outbreak of fungal meningitis around the time I was living in that area. I highly recommend this podcast.
