Ooh, thanks, snarky. Dominique (he's a dude, by the way) doesn't appear on that list, but I can't find him in Pleasantville, so I'll assume he's an NPC/townie. Wait, sims from other neighbourhoods can't come in, can they?

I don't think they can. What Expansion packs do you have (if any)? If you have University maybe he's a young adult from Pleasantview's college town.
Have you been killing off Townies? I've read that if you kill off enough of them then the game will start randomly generating new ones.
ETA: Okay I just did a search for Dominique Sim on google and all I could find out is that it's the name of an "American black porn star." Hee! I don't know what to make of that. How the fudgenut did he get in your game? ;D

Hee hee. He's not even black! And now his name is Dominique Pederson, which is weird. I wonder why it changed?
We have University and Night Life, so maybe he's from one of those. Regardless, he's not in any of my playable families that I can see, so I should be okay.
ETA: So Dominique and Emily got it on (twice) in the photo booth at the bowling alley downtown, and tried for a baby the second time. Then they eventually got married (I suck at getting them in good moods), and Emily got into the second stage of pregnancy at the wedding. The wedding party was a decent success (not great, but "good"), but Emily didn't get to go on the honeymoon with Dominique by himself because she was too pregnant! That sucks because now she's constantly unhappy. They just had a boy, which I named Cecil. If I get one girl in this entire legacy family, I will be shocked; I don't think my sims have ever managed to have girls.
Oh, and they have seven money trees.

I have different themed families: my Shakespeare-themed family has names from the various plays; right now William and Anne are raising twins Katherine and Bianca, and just welcomed baby Hermina. My white-trashy families end up with names from the Bad Baby Names website, like Sysha and Jerrick and Mylie. I have an arty bohemian couple who give all their kids insanely old-fashioned names; they have close to 20 kids now (thank you, Elixer of Life!) with names like Harriet and Linus and Henry and Nellie. And I have another couple whose kids are all Renaissance knights, including two sets of twins, Wilfred and Richard, and Merlin and Arthur. And the Kameko family gave their children very traditional and meaningful Japanese names. They had a set of boy twins, which made naming them a challenge. I ended up with Taro and Tomo (something like "first son" and "twin"), along with Sakura, Hiroshi and Yukio. I have a notebook of potential names.

Oh man, I really do suck at Sims. Emily has food poisoning, and has pretty much since she gave birth (the kid is a toddler now), so I'm afraid she's going to die. I'm trying to make her rest, but it's hard! And stupid Dominique is afraid of changing diapers, so every time he has to do it (since I'm trying to make Emily rest) he loses 500 aspiration points. The psychiatrist had to come see him since his aspiration meter is soooo red! Crap. Plus Emily is going to become an elder about 20 days before he is.

I've never made it past 3rd generation in the Legacy challenge, either. I quit with my first family when the super-gorgeous son, Ewan Lestat, turned out gay and fell in love with Cozzie Greenwood. I'm on my second Legacy family now, and they all had sons, even though I was hoping for daughters. Dammit. (The latest twins are named Hugh and Grant.) ;D

So Emily became elderly and retired, but she only got two promotions in her entire career, so she has a $200/day pension. She had enough aspiration points to get the counterfeiting machine, but she got caught by the cops (even though she was using it in platinum/gold!) and fined $1000 (more than she made or had), so the cop took Cecil's bed. I don't have enough money to buy him a new one so he's sharing his parents. On the plus side, he's doing pretty well in school, though he grew up horribly.
I also made their house bigger, which involved removing all the original walls. Unfortunately, I forgot to reinstall a smoke detector in the kitchen, so when stupid Dominique started a cooking fire (despite having six cooking points), they couldn't even call the fire department, because the phone was ringing! I tried to get Dominique to answer it while Emily extinguished the fire, but he kept freaking out when he got halfway to the phone and running back to watch the fire. Fortunately, Emily dealt with it without anyone catching on fire.
And then they were all sad because most of their house was bare foundation with no flooring because I couldn't afford it.
I'll stop going on about my sims now. Don't worry; I probably won't play for another week or two, so you can have a break from my rambling.

I love listening about your game! I got a Mac so I have to buy it all over and can't afford it for a while yet. I'm playing through you guys. Which is sad. When I play I use the boolprop cheat which takes all the fun out of it.

Or makes it MORE fun.
I know, I am bad. But I haven't cheated with this new family! (Unless buying them the things they want to satisfy their aspirations and then selling the things right back counts as cheating? I hope not.)
Seriously, though, my poor humping bunny is all over this page. Must stay away!

Hey, ramble all you like laconic! Although hearing about your legacy family is making me want to play desperately. I can't wait to get my computer back. I want to take a bunch of picture of my families and post them (is that pathetic? You can tell me.) Unfortunately, all the pictures of my sim kids growing up were wiped out when I reinstalled the game so I have to start anew.
Dwan I’m sort of doing the Shakespeare thing in Veronaville too. Only instead I’m playing with the pre-made families and adding in characters here and there. I made a teen Romance sim named Rosalyn Yip. She’s had affairs with many of the teens in Veronaville: The Paper-girl, Romeo, Mercutio, and Tybalt among others. She tried putting the moves on Puck, but he’s way too devoted to Desdemona to fall for her tricks. Now that Rosalyn is a grown-up she’s moved on to the adults! I plan on making her very popular with the young adults on campus (she now goes for younger men you see).
I also made Bottom Weaver, who lives with his nephew Francis Weaver. I plan on marrying Juliet off to Francis when they grow up because I don’t want her to be stuck with that cheating jerk Romeo. Bottom and Titania had a short fling (after I used the boolprop cheat to change her daughter’s name from Bottom to Peaseblossom) which resulted in her getting pregnant with Moth. Titania has since realized that her affair was destroying her family and ended it with Bottom. Oberon was none the wiser, since the whole time he was too occupied with hitting on Romeo’s grandma to notice.
Rosalyn Yip’s mother Sandra, married Hicks Gilmore, the firstborn son of my Legacy Sim Ripley and Armando the mailman. Hicks and Sandra’s son Roger is ridiculously good-looking. I don’t know how their daughters are going to turn out yet.
Yikes! Sorry for the length. I better stop now before I get started on the families I have in Pleasantview and Strangetown!
