There's really no other way to say this other than- The new HITG sucks donkey balls. Yes, definitely phoning it in. I forgot to notice who wrote the Clifton Collins piece, but it was like the person lost interest part-way through and dropped it. Do these people have day jobs? (I hope?)

Queen-Bee herself wrote it.

There's really no other way to say this other than- The new HITG sucks donkey balls. The whole thing sucks. At first I consciously stopped going there because of how they ended the entire thing and the stories that I heard of Herr Wing Chung's arbitrary witchyness. Not to mention my own personal experience. I was banned without any explanation; I just couldn't log in one day. Before I started reading of everyone else's experience, I just thought it was a glitch or they were busy. Because of course nothing but their smack downs of people who broke the rules stayed up for long. Anyhow, I've found myself back there once or twice, more out of habit than anything else, and there is nothing that can hold my attention -- and this from someone who actually finds literary criticism interesting.

MFF is Adam Sternbergh, who is one of the other folks behind Uber Interactive, which runs DHAK and FT and TWoP and all from the tech end (I think).
And yeah, IMO he's the better writer. He sent me a nice email once, too.

Yeah, I think we can say that the love for the site is gone. And the forum closing may have been a very big blessing.

Thanks, tommytimp! I did wonder.
I went and took a look through the Fame Audit and their last one was in March this year. Have they really stopped doing Fame Audits now, Monster Zero, or is this a suspicion? I've got to say, the Fame Audits were my favourite thing and if they're gone for good, I can delete the bookmark from my favourites.

Hmmm, maybe we should write our own audits of the FT staff? Or better yet, FT Staff vs. Thing? Btw, theres a new S'leb vs. Thing posted.

Wow, that one really sucked. Funny thing is, it's all "Who the hell has bought a Roomba?" and Sars had a big "God I love my Roomba" article on Tomato Nation. So it's not like they're even reading each others' sites anymore.

I enjoyed the meltdown on FT. I even participated by starting nonsensical threads in the "Celebrities" forum. I only wish I had been clever enough to start the "Jesus" thread--that was some funny shit. ;D
