It was just confirmed on Canada AM that it was a fake; done by some students at Ryerson. The "bride" is a girl named Ingrid; I guess the word "wig" in the clip's title was the clue.

Since it's a Canadian-made piece of TV, and acquired 1.8 million hits, that makes it the most-watched Canadian TV show ever. Snerk.

I'm in Germany right now, so I found this old clip from the late Dana Carvey Show beyond hilarious.

The four women who made the Bride Wig-Out video are doing the talk show rounds now. Apparently, the "bride" is named Jodi (Ingrid is the camera operator) and she did actually cut her hair.

Canadian director Norman Jewison - when asked by a friend to watch the clip and posit if it was real or fake, said, "It's probably fake, but the girl (Jodi) is a great actress. I'd hire her." Heh. Hope they enjoy their 15 minutes.

I watched that at a sci-fi club meeting (which has pretty much turned into the "funny youtube clips club") and I think it's kind of creepy because the two unicorns other than Charlie sound like Mr. Jefferson from that episode of South Park.

For some reason YouTube won't play for me when I go to the website. I get this:

However, I can still view the embedded videos. I need my MST3K fix! Any ideas of what's going on?
