I don't know but some have been saying it was part on Voldemort's soul and I think is most likely.

Ah, danke. I should have figured that out but: so gross! It was thumping and raw.
Fleur cracked me up when she turned into a Harry clone: "Bill, don't look at me - I'm 'ideous." So did George with his, "Saintlike!" response to the question of how he was feeling.
I hate it when they kill the pets! HEDWIG! [sniff]

Because back when Voldemort tried to attack Harry with his own wand, the whole "twin cores" thing kicked in and Harry's wand took some of the qualities/characteristics of Voldemort's wand. It didn't happen the other way around [Voldemort's wand getting some of the qualities of Harry's wand] because Harry had accepted the possibility that he might have died - Voldemort hadn't, so the power was sucked from his wand. When Voldemort attacked Harry with Lucius's wand, Harry's wand recognized Voldemort due to the sucked Voldemort qualities so it automatically shot back some of Voldemort's own magic towards him. Lucius's wand wasn't as powerful, so it was basically crap at that point. Here's my question: what in the heck was that Harlequin baby-type thing in King's Cross? Thanks! I remember Dumbledore telling Harry this now! The dead-baby-looking-thing was the remnant of Voldemort's soul that had been released from Harry. He looked exactly like that at the beginning of GoF, before being returned to his body.

Dunno, but my theory is that it's bits of Voldemorte's sundered soul.

Thanks again! OK, some of the Encyclopedia Dramatica stuff concerning events in the book is cracking me up - especially how Voldemort's manner of death [killed by his own rebounding curse] is linked to "N00b."

I enjoy that they called Dobby's death a shanking. Dobby was hardcore, yo.

Whew! Just finished it! (I had a small break because of work)
I think it was everything I expected the book to be. I was sobbing when Dooby died too, which surprised me. I'm pretty meh on the whole Snape Loved Lily! parts. I was alright, but was a little too cheesy for me.
I REALLY liked that Dumbledore had all those secrets and different sides to himself in this book. In fact I liked that almost everyone that I wanted to get fleshed out more did. LOVE NEVILLE! Also, Molly Weasley kickin'ass, and McGonagall was her usual super awesome self!
I wasn't as sad at all the other deaths though. I think I knew going into this book that WAR=DEATH so while I'm sad about them, I was prepared to lose people.
The only part I felt was over-the-top cheesy was the epilogue. I mean....Albus Severus!!? So BAD! But even that just made me roll my eyes and shrug. These are after all Childrens books and they do have a tendency to be happy-happy at the end. Plus, It did feel good to have some look into the future, even though I still have questions about all the other characters!
Overall, after my first readthrough, I really liked it and I think It was a great ending to the series.
eta: I liked that since Harry had willingly walked into his own death that he cast the same protection spell on the people had loved that his mother had cast on him when she died.

I was pretty amused by the ultimate smackdown of the Hermione and Harry ship. I guess JK was unimpressed with the death threats.
I would like to know what happened to Hermione's parents, that is pretty hard core, memory charming your parents to forget about you. I didn't cry over this book (too excited) but that depressed me more than anything.

It is on page 738, Harry tells Voldy that none of the spells are sticking.
Something else I loved, Harry uses expelliarmus again, after told not to by Lupin earlier in the book. I just love that no matter what is happening, no matter who Harry is fighting he won't used avada kedavra on them.
