Am I the only one here who thinks she's rather bland? But then, i always thought her mother was average. That tatler cover makes her look like a poor man's Nicole Kidman circa 1995 I agree, in fact I would go so far as to say I think she is unattractive. The Tatler cover has been kind to her, in that I barely recognised her. I think her younger sister is better looking.

Ooo, scandal! I guess Kate and Chelsy look pretty tame in comparision. ;D This will be interesting to watch.
I wouldn't be surprised if she came to the US to study. CP Victoria of Sweden did. I think she went to Yale.

Isn't 17 a little young to be dating a 24 year old? ... not to mention his legal problems. Waaay to young! We can guess at his motives, but hers? She's either rebelling against her parents or else she has no structure at home so she's doing as she pleases with no-one to rope her in. I think it's sad and potentially disastrous.

Are the dating "norms" different in the UK with the legal age being 16 there? I get that impression sometimes when I read about pairings with similar age gaps that are mentioned by the British media, without all of the admonitions of robbing the cradle you would typically see in America.

It's definitely less shocking there but I think in the case of the royal family, there would be a bit more concern about the influence of an adult on someone who is still such a young girl, and fifth in line for the throne.

I don't know--when I was seventeen I thought guys my age were hopelessly immature and I wasn't a princess. Beatrice has to know something of her parents' past romances; they can hardly take the moral high ground about her love life without her laughing in their faces.

Still, though, when I was 17, if a 24 year-old man tried to date me, my father would have shot him and buried him in the woods. And my father was no saint in the romance department.
Surely someone should have checked on this guy's criminal history before he started dating a member of the royal family? If it was my kid, I'd have told her it would be "over my dead body" that she date this person.
