Did anyone see Hogfather? I only saw the last 2 minutes, so I don't know if it was a good adaptation or not.

Damn. I haven't liked the latest books as much as the early ones, but this is still sad.

It really is sad, and feels unfair that it's happening to a mind that's so creative. Terry's one of my favourite authors so I hope it progresses slowly enough that he has time to hammer out quite a few more and I'm glad he's been as prolific as he is.

It's a mark of how many of his books I've read (at least 20) and how much I've inhabited his world that when I was told this last night I actually felt it as a real personal blow.
I'm horrified. I think I'd rather anything than Alzheimers, especially as I saw a documentary a couple of months ago on UK T.V. about a wife looking after her Alzheimers husband, and her life was hellish for years and years. It really affected me. So am feeling very angry about this news.

I gave myself Making Money for Christmas and enjoyed it but didn't really find it anything special. Maybe a re-reading will make me like it more. It did prompt me to re-read Going Postal ... and once I start re-reading TP I find it hard to stop. There are few authors I really enjoy diving into a new novel as much as I do with TP's, so I'm pretty disappointed that he's got Alzheimers. One thing about Making Money I'm struggling to get out of my mind is Cosmo Lavish. Never has Pratchett bought me so close to throwing up.
